It is the Golden Rule in action. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you...... If you were down and out, wouldn't you want to have a hand up? Doing community service not only helps those for whom you do the work, but those who actually perform the work. It gives you a good feeling that you make a difference in this world.

It is important because it is way we show our love ,concern for other members of our society.Our societies is structured in such a way that there is unequal distribution in resources as a result there are those that are wealthy and there are those that are poor.There are others that have physical, emotional or mental disabilities These are the groups that need our help in any way we can.All in all I feel it is a way that can bring peace and harmony in the community and society at large.

Community Service is important because it is used as a constructive penalty for an individual with minor crime charges for her to be able to gain awareness of how we should take care of our community.

Community service gets many jobs done that couldn't get done because they cost too much for government to do. We step in to bring a variety of aids to our neighbors, raise money for research, swing hammers for people who can no longer do it themselves, or prepare and serve meals for others.
In the meantime, we learn a great deal about ourselves and feel great.

Not important when you yourself is hungry... It is a self fulfilling act. if you are not hungry, got a home and a family then you will want to feel good by getting seen helping others....

It gives criminals an easy out. I got arrested and all I had to do was pick up some trash in a park.
