Why do some people insist on coming to a question , not to answer it but leave their opinions on your faith?
Or to say something that in no way answers the question?
Like Doh, Really? Or Hmm? Or worse thanks for the points?
Why do they insist on using this site as their personal soapbox for peddling their faith?
That is not the way this forum works! It is a violation of the question and answer format on this site!
NOT TO MENTION ~ Outright rude and uncalled for!
PLEASE NOTE! : As much as i hate the report button,.............. I have HAD ENOUGH!~ In future all answers or comments left under my questions or those i read which to not adhere to the rules of this site will be reported!
Tolerance? Been there done that it has not worked!
I just wanted to let you know that this will be my future course of action, so if you cant answer or give a valid opinion or say something nice .....DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!!

Some people just want the points thus the thanks for 2 points which is clearly in violation of Y/A guidelines.
Christians feel they have the absolute right to talk about their faith even to those who do not what to hear it. they deny us the right to not want to hear it. They feel they are carrying out the great commission of Jesus and most don't even care that they are being a pain in the behind.
If Christians would read the New Testament they would find that Jesus did not make a nuisance out of himself and he did not go to people who did not want to hear. he was in conflict with the Jewish leaders because he was speaking within the religious format of the day. He was preaching to people who gathered to worship and pray.
Not once in the whole bible do you hear of Jesus going to the pagans and telling us we are going to hell, he went to the people of his own religion.
I have asked pagan oriented questions where I specifically said in the question that I knew the Christian view and did not want any Christian to answer, but they do anyway.
They pretend they are all concerned for our salvation but their actions suggest that they just like to tell people they are going to hell and this makes them feel better.

Not sure. Although I'm beginning to think that most people see life through a telescope. They see something ahead of them, but don't see anything at the sides. Like the parable of the blind men and the Elephant, only more so.
They can't see more than a small area, and that at a distance, and perhaps blurry because no one has ever gotten around to cleaning the lens, and it is probably focused incorrectly as well.
They can't conceive of anything that is outside their immediate experience. If they can't relate to the frame of reference, they have to impose their own frame of reference.
Many people feel they have to answer, as they want to help others. They don't see how twisted their own beliefs may be, they can't, and when they apply their own belief structure on someone else, it becomes even more twisted, but they honestly want to help.
Then there are the few trolls out there who only want to destroy, mime beliefs, hurt others and so on. Look at all the property damage that's out there. Spay paint on walls, broken bus shelters, damaged park benches, mindless vandalism. You think that these damaged souls only confine themselves to physical vandalism? They are on the net as well, psychic vampires, draining our emotions and enjoying our frustration, anger and grief.
Don't let them win. I'm not suggesting you don't get angry or that you don't respond to their idiotic rantings by not pressing the abuse button. Do so, it is the only way they will ever learn. If they get kicked off enough, they may actually question why. I fear it may take a few years, but it must be done.
Tolerance is another country to them. Send them to Coventry. I'll be joining you.

Okay, this is NOT an answer. I take it this is the rant you were talking about? I understand your pain, but you know this is how it is here. I just give them a thumbs down and move on. Calm down, think about the new kitty you're getting, and breathe. You can't change these people, some of them STILL don't even believe we exist, even though they talk to us everyday. Why bother beating your head against a wall.

I really have no idea, because I, personally, don't relate to that.
I would guess that some poor people really feel it is their "duty" to insert their opinion into everything.
If this refers to what I think it refers to, there are Christians here (and atheists, too) who feel that they have some sort of obligation to either 1. "warn" you about you path, or 2. "educate" you that it's nonsense.
These are both (IMO) based in egoistic conviction they they have the "truth" and you do not, and the need to display their "knowledge".

Ariel hon.....Think of it as more of a sign that things are changing. The narrow viewed Fundy's are sensing the end of their religion and they are panicky about it. You can see it in the answers they give and in the outside world as well. The desperation and franticness is everywhere. They will get worse too hon.....

yes, people are judgmental.
the paste and copiers dont think, they dont even regurgitate or read what they copy. it doesnt pass through their minds.
the ones who blast you with doctrine, are there to convince themselves more than anything else and reporting them will feed their righteous indignation.
the "duh" and "2 pointers" are just playing a game of points or are bored or just like many of our "role models" and "celebs" have nothing to say but say it anyways.
so why bother reporting them... you dont need to tolerate them, just ignore and they'll get bored with the game.
or not ;)
