Is a stretched spring returning to its original form driven by Enthalpy or Entropy?

Entropy, because it doesn't return all of the energy put into it.

Enthalpy and entropy are thermodynamic quantities that are not applicable to streched springs unless it was generating heat.

Enthalpy.[entropy deals with decay,not expansion].
