i am writing a report on television and how television evolved or (demoralized in the past 2 or 3 decades)

and i was wondering if anyone knew of a website that talks about older television line up, or if anyone remembers the fox line up or raunchy shows at the time...

when i was little like 5-7 i remember that Fox channel was raunchy at the time because they had shows like married with children and the simpsons.. and i would always remember getting yelled at by my mom saying that i wasnt old enough to watch those programs. so that channel always stuck with me.

my observation is that broadcast television didnt get rauchy towards the 80s because they were competeing with cable tv that had more of a wide variety of entertainment.

Broadcast television operates under different regulations than cable television as far as content is concerned. No Broadcast programs are restricted from Cable solely because of it`s content but some made for cable programs ,due to their raunchy content are not allowed to be broadcast on regular Broadcast television stations. Consequently you have been able to view raunchier programs on cable than off the air. Broadcast television is somewhat older than Cable television. Therefore television didn`t get raunchy except for closed circuit television until the advent of cable television.
