I know for a fact that I have a case on warranted status for failing to appear for a drinking ticket in another city within my state. I was stopped for speeding the other day. However, the officer simply gave me a speeding ticket and let me go. No mention of the warrant at all. My question is, did it not show up on my record or was he just being generous?

Police officers don't always check for wants and warrants when they stop someone. It depends on why you were stopped. If you give them a hard time or look suspicious they will check. It pays to be cooperative.

he should have known and should have done something...which makes me believe it wasnt in the system. i'm guessing the judge in that city has yet to look at your failure to show up for court and put a warrant out for you yet. i'd take care of that so you wont worry next time you get pulled over.

IF THEY GAVE YOU ANOTHER TICKET YOU WILL HOPEFULLY SHOW UP FOR THAT ONE AND WHEN YOU DO SURPRISE.

IF NOT THEN YOU WILL HAVE TWO TICKETS FOR FTA AND SOONER OR LATER THE FECAL MATTER WILL HIT THE FLYING OSCILLATOR WITH A RESOUNDING SPLATTER.

THE LONGER YOU WAIT THE MORE YOUR WANTED POSTER BECOMES. HAVE A NICE DAY NOW.

He probably let it go because he didn't want to be bothered. He had a quota to meet that day. Or he thought you were cute.

Guaranteed he wasn't being generous. It may not have shown up, why, I wouldn't know.

However, you will eventually pay the piper, and if you turn yourself in, you may (if your lucky) avoid jail.
