If I put in my notice to quit this coming friday when does my employer have to give me my final check?

usually on your next payday. however, in my state you can request that it be given to you at the time that you leave. they would probley give a big fuss about it, but if it's your right in your state, they will have to give it to you then.

On whatever your normal payday would have been for your last day of work.
