Study my history? The Treaty of Tripoli states that the United States is not founded, in any sense, on the christian religion.

Because some people's faith is so weak and fragile that it can't survive without government welfare, at the expense of everyone else.
These are the people who claim the United States is a "Christian Nation," but can never quite explain what that means. Nor can they explain why, if this country was founded as a christian nation, the constitution DOES NOT MENTION CHRISTIANITY EVEN ONCE. They are hopelessly delusional. And convinced that telling them the truth is "persecution".

What do you mean "What happened to separation of church and state"? It was never there to begin with. There is no such thing as "separation of church and state" in the constitution of the United States. Read it yourself. You will not find any of them. Nor will you find any suggestion of making the country completely void of all public religion. Besides, it's an impossibility. You'd have to completely ban religion altogether.
To say a politician is not permitted to allow religion to influence them is fallacious. You're saying they're not allowed to act in the pretense of their own conscience? Why? They're not doing anything against the laws of the land. And they are certainly not harming you.
I don't know if the country was founded on the basis of Christianity or not. Actually I don't think it was. However it is certain, whether you like it or not, this government and country was ideally founded as a representation of the people. And the most the people are Christian or believe in god in one form or another. To say no, because YOU and 1% of the population doesn't like is destroying one true principal this country was founded on.
And if you dislike your "In God We Trust" money, you're welcome to send it all to me.

Because this country has more religious fanatics than ever who don't even know their own history - such as the fact that "In God We Trust" was ADDED to the currency in 1957 and that the country was founded mainly by DEISTS who did support the separation of church and state.

I know whoever is being sworn in can choose what they are sworn in on, most use the bible or the constitution. There was a big fuss last year over a congressman who wanted to use the qur'an.
As for why "In God We Trust" is on money, I have no idea.

Because people have been brainwashed with religion. That's why that stupid war is going on. I was watching a documentary about Iraq and how they brainwash their children to think that Allah is all powerful and crap like that and then there was a 5 or 6 year old girl saying she will march into the battlefield with bombs strapped to her chest just to please her lord. Isn't that some bullsh*t!!?!?! And its on US currency to make America look good.

because the separation of church and state was never meant to be. some liberal judges changed the law with that ruling. the state was not to tell you to belong to a set religion. but it was also never supposed to tell you that you could not practice your religion. study your history, this was and should be a christian country.

You could probably find a country that doesn't trust in God and move there if you want to.
