I carry a Taser and I HAD TO BE TASED TO CARRY IT....it was part of training. It hurts like you wouldn't believe, and I screamed(involuntarily) like a girl...but after it was over I felt fine, 100%. The only thing is, where the probes went in, I felt a slight burning sensation where the 50,000volts were arching. Its a great tool though....I have pointed my firearm on more than a few occasions on the job and many times, the suspects just run, when I point the Taser at them with the laser dot, they KNOW its all business and they usually comply with my commands.......

Sure would for $50.00
It's not lethal like a lot of people claim.
Yes it hurts like nothing else, but after 5 seconds it's over.
I have been tased 3 times already and prefer it to mace.
To Pathfinder: Under the right circumstances just about anything in this world can kill a healthy person.

Been there, If you carry one, the general rule is you are going to get tased. It isn't that bad, It hurts like you wouldn't believe for a few seconds and then you are fine. I would rather it be a taser then OC spary or a baton upside the head or getting shot.

Gonzo said it best, just like carrying Pepper/Oc spray you need to be tazed in order to carry it on duty.
Does it hurt well, watch an old episode of COPS or LAPD Life on the Street on Fox's Reality Network and do some research online then reask your question

It hurts like a muther. But still beats the heck out of a bullet to the chest. I had to be tazed in the military and the Trooper academy.

Let's see.
I was Tazed while being certified carry a tazer.
Yeah. It hurts.
I don't recall getting a raise for it, but it sure as hell made my life easier after the fact on the street.
I guess I did it for free.
But it's saved me a lot of bruises.
What's the price on bruises?

No I would not, it can kill even a healthy person under the right circumstances. Is $5000 all your life is worth?

No thanks, is there a second choice of what I would want to do? I think the taser is used to often. I read where it was used on a pregnant woman and she went into premature labor. Would you believe a cop here in town used it on a dog cause he really thought it would get the dog to calm down ! He obviously knows nothing about animals. I think he should have been brought up on cruelty charges.

WOW WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED MONEY?
IN OUR DEPARTMENT WE ALL HAVE BEEN TAZED. IF YOUR NOT THEN NO TAZER WEAPON GIVEN OR LIC TO CARRY ONE SO WE KNEW HOW IT FELT.
PAY $28 P/HR SO THAT WAS ABOUT 30 SEC OR .85 CENTS, TO BE TAZED AND NOW I KNOW MORE THEN YOU DO ABOUT HOW IT FEELS. 6' 275LBS BROUGHT TO KNEES IN 5 SEC. NOT BAD.
FOR .85 CENTS YOU HAVE NOT GOT THE GUTS TO GET TAZED BUT ALL OF US THAT HAVE BEEN TAZED KNOW HOW IT FEELS.
