I've already given up on them. I don't care what they believe as long as they aren't constantly in my face about it.

Shouldnt you be overjoyed that an almighty, powerful, perfectly intelligent, all knowing, all loving, absolutely forgiving and merciful force that exists and is completely omnipotent, accepting, loving and perfectly just? Even the mere mention of such a force would seem to good to be true, yet it isnt. This force provides everyting and gives great depth to life, and lets us realize that this life is just a small modicum of our existence. It is truth. It is love. It is mercy. It is forgiveness. Not merely providing those virtues, it IS them. In other words, something far better is waiting just around the corner. This force is waiting. Yet most reject it. Isnt that paradoxical?
The reverse is... nothingness, lies, death as the "virtue". The means of life is to an end of nothingness as you subscribe to. Isnt there something better to look forward to than nothingness or death?

I tend to have a problem with giving up... to a fault, even.
Call me a dreamer. I figure if I can leave a religion after two decades, so can others.

oh i expect i'll keep chipping away at them. i don't expect to change their mind, most of them are too far gone for that. but occasionally one of them is curious and not blinded by dogma and is able to learn something before being bullied into submission by their peers.

I will only give up when we have stopped them invading our schools and homes.
I will fight them on the beaches, I will fight them in the schools, I will never surrender. Victory is the only end. And when we look back upon this time we will say - this was our finest hour

I hold my fellow humans near and dear. They will eventually understand. They may have to be dragged into reality kicking and screaming, but our species will continue to evolve.
