who do they think they are? isn't it extreme arrogance to think that you have a say to dictate to people what to do?
who made them superior than others as to think they have authority over others?

Homeland Security, I can't believe your ignorance! do you think I don't know what the Pope really said? you, fundies are the only ones who are so obsessed with the word "saved", don't project yourselves to others.

Just in the last few days I've been told that they do it because:
1. They love us.
2. They want to "liberate" us from the "false teaching" or "man-made religion" that is Catholicism.
3. They think we open our Bibles (if we indeed have them in the first place) only to write in the family record part.
4. They think we're being misled, controlled, manipulated, extorted, and otherwise taken for fools by the bad ol' Vatican.
And ... THEY are going to be the ones to set us free.
Personally, I think they zero in on "evangelizing" Catholics because it's a whole lot easier than actually going out in the larger world and preaching the Gospel by how they live. If they "spoke the truth in love" to a Catholic today (although it's debatable how "loving" some of these condescending twits really are), then hey -- they've done their part.
Seriously: At the root of it all is the fact that they cannot and will not accept authority, even authority that was given by Christ. It's no accident that the vast majority of anti-Catholic fundamentalists are Americans, given that we sort of started out rebellious against authority and haven't changed much in 250 years or so.

Some people like to mind other peoples' business. This is by no means confined to religion. But the Catholic Church has various practices that can and should be condemned by any thinking person, Protestant or not.

I don't dictate to anyone what to do except this: Look at God's Word and see what it says. If your doctrine does not line up with what God says, there are problems. This goes for anyone, Catholic or Protestant.

HA! The pope just made the statement to all the world that the catholic church is the only real church and that catholics alone are saved.
Talk about arrogance.....

I like to let The Bible speak for itself. Catholics and Christians alike would do well to obey it.
