Im 21 years old 5'1" and I weigh 108lbs. I exercise for 30-45 minutes most days and I work at a restaurant so I'm always on my feet and pretty active. I eat around 2,000 calories per day (mostly healthy stuff).

The problem is that my parents always tell me that I eat too much and that my portions are too big. They say I need to talk to a doctor about it. I thought that 2,000 calories a day is normal, especially since my weight doesn't change too much. Am I damaging my health by eating that many calories? What should I do?

You're petite, but your weight sounds just right for your height...
It's great that you work out and are on your feet. On average, a female your size might need anywhere from 1500 to 2000 calories per day. But since you're active, closer to 2000 is fine. Just remember it's not just calories that count. It depends on what KIND of food make up those calories.
If you're eating half of your calories in brownies and chips it's not healthy at all. You seem fine though, as long as you're eating a healthy, balanced diet. And dont worry about the occasional cake or muffin.
Good luck!

Unless you write down what you eat on a typical workday and then look up the calories for that list, you will never know how many calories you are eating. Most people grossly underestimate their calorie intake ("I had this chocolate layer cake for dessert so that's probably about a hundred calories"). If you do that writing and checking and then show the totals to your parents then either they will be convinced or you will be. Otherwise you will end up writing to Yahoo some day that you are "41 years old and your parents are still always telling you ..."

Settle it once and for all.

um...ok you are def eating around the right amount....unless you arent counting your calories and your just assuming that your eating 2000....im pretty close to your size and 5'1 also...i basically dont do anything all day LOL....and i eat 1600 and dont gain a pound...so you being on ur feet working all day long AND exercise????...are you kidding me you can def handle the extra 400 calories without gaining weight....your easily burning probably more then that a day....dont listen to your parents...if you were less active 1600-1650...would probably be good...but like i said you are so ACTIVE...it dont even matter...your really healthy...your doing good....

You eat well in proportion to your activity level. If you're happy with the weight you are at and it is easy to maintain eating 2000 cal per day then dont stress - just enjoy your exercise and food! If ur folks bug you tell them that I exercise like a maniac and have to eat about 2500 cal per day - my parents dont think they can afford to feed me lol! To boot I need to gain weight, so I'm looking at 2800 cal per day! Tell urs they have it easy!

I can't believe your parents would say that??....2000 calories is perfect if you are working out daily. You are at the weight your body wants to be at.....everything is fine.

you're an adult. If you're eating 2000 calories, you're doing it right. that's enough to keep you fed but not enough to be considered "over eating". You're a bit small, but if you're not gaining weight, then enjoy your food!

2000 is actually the recommended daily intake, especially if you work out. So you're fine.
