If you're paranoid, give directly to those who need it.

If you're worried about not getting a tax deduction, then you're giving for the wrong reason anyway.

No. I would do exactly what I do now. Instead of donating money I purchase what I know is needed and take it directly to the needy. It cuts out the middle man completely and I know where and who is getting it. Usually it is food to the indigent who have no homes or resources, but not always.

to be honest, no. i give a certain amount and then call that good. i don't think about where it goes. if it goes to the wrong place/person, that's out of my control, but i still did the right thing by trying to help. so my conscious is clear.

My money is spent to help the economy, I work for food, shelter, dignity, and self-satisfaction. These cannot be transferred by money.
