I accidently ripped out my belly button piercing. It's not bleeding anymore, it didn't bleed too much at all but it looks like it may be infected. It's red around it and kinda greenish where it is ripped.
I have been putting peroxide on it to clean it out and using neosporin. My friend saw it and said I should go to the hospital. I don't think it's that serious but at least should I go and get a tetanus shot?

You don't need a tetnus shot but you do need to see a doc and get it treated. DO not use peroxide on it as that is way to harsh to use on an open wound full strength. Also neosporin is a great ointment but if you don't know what infection you have you don't know if it will take care of it or not. GO see your doc.

You don't need a tetanus shot, you need antibiotics, like yesterday. You have an infection, and peroxide and neosporin are not going to help you one bit. Go to your doctor or the ER and get PO antibiotics. It's gonna be the only thing that is going to help you now, as it's too far gone.

Red skin and green discharge suggest infection. Infections are best dealt with in conjunction a doctor.

As for tetanus shots, you wouldn't need one if,
1. You've already had three tetanus shots as a child AND
2. Your last tetanus shot was within 10 years.
