What has the Vet said? If you're not happy with the response take her to another vet and get a second opinion. I doubt anyone here will be able to answer that question unless they are a qualified vet - and even then they have not seen the dog so how would they know whats wrong with it.

I hope the dog gets better though.

Have you tried giving her supplements? The three best supplements for liver disease are Milk Thistle,SAM-E and N- Acetelcysteine,or Nac.These are given to people and dogs with liver failure and can help protect the liver from further degeneration, and even help reverse it.Do some research on the web for dosages and such. Also, feed the dog several small meals throughout the day of easy to digest food and make sure she drinks enough purified water. Her liver probably will fail eventually, but you can try the supplements.

This is something you need to discuss with your vet. Your vet sees your dog and knows the test results and history, so would be your best bet for information and advice on your dog's condition. There is no way to tell from the little information you have provided, what exactly is wrong with her liver and to what extent.
Don't hesitate to ask questions of your vet and staff. They will make sure you have a good understanding of what to expect and how to handle it.

Good luck

You need to take her to another vet. This one just sounds like he is setting your dog up for failure so you will bring her back and he can get more money. Liver failure either results in full treatment or fatality not rollercoaster recovery.
