So I already have two tattoos on my back but my lower tattoo i dont like and i wanna get it covered up! I have tinkerbill on my upper back in the center. I was thinking about to covering it up with a dolphin scene but in order to do it i will have to get a full back tattoo!! Do you think it looks manly on girls or what do you think!! Here is some pics that I would look into getting. The artist said he would be able to work around tinkerbell for me cuz it is really pretty!!What you think I should do- get it or no

i used to love those dolphin scenes back when I was in junior high- very pretty scenery. I agree with another poster- don't think tink will look right in those scenes, and I love tink so nothing against her.

My thought for a back piece would be something that would fit with tink- a foresty scene, like in peter pan, or in the newer movie "Finding Neverland" with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. The ending scene where they show Neverland makes me cry when I see it- it is absolutely beautiful, and it takes my breath away. If you could get your tattoo artist to get inspired by some of that, I think you would have a beautiful back piece, and one that would highlight tinkerbell.

Ok, just figured out my back piece lol- you can't use it.
I don't think back pieces are at all manly, but some might. As far as I say- go for it, and do what you want. If you have a beautiful scene on your back, who won't admire it!!

Sorry, I can't image how you would be able to work tinkerbell into that scene without it looking really weird and out of place.

Since you like the tinkerbell and dislike the lower tattoo, perhaps you should see if you can find a different design that would only cover the lower one.

Good luck!

none of those pictures would work as a whole for a full back piece. a lot of the detail would have to be altered or cut out completely. but that would be something to talk about with your artist.
as for whether or not back tattoos look manly... i of course don't feel that they do because... i have one! and i have never had anyone say to me that it looks in any way manly. a lot of people think it's very feminine and sexy but that isn't the reason i got it. my back tattoo was to cover up two previous tattoos that i wasn't happy with.
good luck!!
i hope you pick a good artist because i have seen some crappy back pieces and there is no covering up one of those.

Your pictures aren't formatted right, so we can not see them.

I don't think big tattoos are very attractive, personally. My personal rule-of-thumb is to picture yourself in your wedding dress with them. If you'd wish they weren't there then, then they're not right for you.

My best friend once was naive enough to get a guys name pretty big on her back, and later had it covered up with a really big tattoo. Sure you can't see "Thomas" anymore, but the tattoo isn't attractive either. How about just having a really good tattoo removal?
