how tacky is it to have finger nails and toe nails that arent painted the same color and both are visible

It may be viewed as tacky to some. but truth be told, some people don't take the time to even apply lotion to their ashy feet yet alone, apply colors in unison!! lol, i mean as long as it is freshly painted and cared for and you are confident---that's what it's all about baby...

It's not necessarily tacky. I have seen magazines suggest using brighter or bolder colors on the toes, and get the impression that matching toes and fingers is a little too "matchy-matchy." I could see how wildly different styles could be tacky, like bright orange fingernails with french tipped beige toenails. But coordinating colors, with the toes bolder, is not tacky at all.

If you like lots of colours on your toes (or fingers) have thumbnail red, index finger orange, middle finger yellow, ring finger green and pinky finger blue (it actually looks really good!) You could also try going red, blue, red, blue (looks good too). If you want more subtle colours go pink, yellow, pink, yellow. Alternate colours look great and so do all different colours aslong as you don't throw a black, grey or brown in there somwhere. Also with all different colours make sure that both hands (or feet) are the same. If you want them all the same colour, red on toenails looks good and so does dark purple on fingernails (and vice-versa). Don't go for plain yellow, though, looks sh*t. Also don't try painting a whole nail white either!!! You could have a french manicure on your hands, though. Hope this helped!

I don't think it's tacky. It definitely shows individuality. If I were to do it I would keep it within the same shade. However, if you want to paint your toes blue and your fingernails pink then more power to you!

Having fingernails painted multi colors may be a bit tacky.

Maybe if they're completely unrelated colors it's tacky, but not if they're shades of the same color.

I don't think they are considered tacky although I prefer that they both be in shades of pinks or maybe shades of red not one or the other.

um, i don't think it's tacky. they are painted different right now. it doesn't bother me. but, it's fine. that's your taste.

wow. well um kinda. well if you want them to be the same color, i would choose the color purple french tip.
