what type of economy does northeast china have?
as well as southeast and southwest?

It is too broad a question to answer. In general, Northeast China is mainly heavy industry, including steel, auto making, etc. Southeast is big in light industry, such as fabrication, clothing, etc.

You have to go by the major cities at first. It is not a simple thing since almost all industries contribute to such a large and diverse economy. China is known for manufacturing the world over and that is what I am most familiar with.

northeast: car industrial,coal & mining,oil,they are most heavy industrial.in the south east are light industrial.
