After all there is no creditable evidence that shows the devil did all the things that Christians say he did.

Maybe the devil should sue - but before whose court?

Humanity is a messy business, we blame all sorts of mischief upon one another, upon God, and upon the devil. The Book of Job has a lovely introduction wherein the devil defames humanity and all of God's believers, thus leading to the eventual slow torture of the book's title character. Job is not an easy read not a simple character, but it does give you a better idea of the traditional (not pop) Judeo-Christian approach to the devil and evil.

Good question, and a good discussion starter! Grace & Peace.

It's all cute and sort of like playing phantom checkers, just above fantasy football. Endless debates and wars and killing and wasted lives isn't fun anymore. It's time to end the charade and recognize that whatever can't be proven is just not proven, and stop pretending that the unproven is real.

You could make tons of money if you wrote a screenplay for a movie about this.

(I am thinking of THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE.)

I say NO. (I'm a Christian; would you think I would answer any other way?)

Have a good evening.

The highest authority is God... so God would be the judge of a case against him... i dont think it would be a fair trial.. but its odd that it makes sense that the devil would be a lawyer.. i mean everyone hates them but we all have them and listen to them

So then why hasn't he spoken out in his own defense? He knows that if the case ever actually went to trial, he'd have to take the stand, and he'd be ripped apart on cross.

The devil is proud of who he is. Evil is his game since his fall. I suppose he could sue for royalties but that is about it

He would have to represent himself in God's court of law. The odds are against him to win.

Actually, all of the universe has been watching, and they would attest to quite the opposite. There will be no question of God's goodness when Satan gets his due.
