I suppose it all depends on how you are travelling. If you are driving, most cars have little hanging things on the hand holds, if you are flying try putting it on the very top of your suitcase. at the very least just try to keep it as flat as possible and if you can hang it up as soon as you get to where you are going.
Hope that helped.
Good luck and God bless

My husband usually puts his in the garment bag and checks that, and they come out okay.

If you're taking a suitcase, rolling clothes up instead of folding them helps prevent wrinkles. But I think that would be hard to do with a suit jacket.

If you're going by car, put it on a hanger in a garment bag.
If you're flying, you need a luggage garment bag.
Failing that, fold it flat, both sides out, back in.
Lay it flat in your suitcase, with holding straps, if available.

i HAD LUCK BY LAYING DOWN A DAMP (NOT WET) BATH TOWEL, PUTTING THE JACKET, BUTTONED AND FRONT DOWN, ON IT AND ROLLING UP, COLLAR FIRST. SOON AS i WAS IN MY HOTEL ROOM i UNPACKED IT FROM MY SUITCASE AND HUNG IT, AND THERE WERE NO WRINKLES.
