I recently had adult chicken pox and it left bright red scars that are not healing well.

I am very fair and prone to scarring even when it's a mere mosquito bite. The holes left by the pox have filled in with bright red scar tissue. I look like a victim of a drive by shooting!

I have been applying coco butter and vitamin e E oil. Is there a better home or over the counter treatment for new scare tissue? Is mederma good and is it worth the price? Any others?

I have a bottle of vitamin E oil and apply it directly to the scarred area.

Are you breaking open vitamin E capsules and applying the gel directly to the scar? If not, do this 2-3 times daily. You can put the capsule aside if you puncture it carefully and use it many times. This has helped me with a lot of scars, it just takes time and perseverance.

You could use mederma, you can buy it at any store really. It works really nice I have used it for several small scars that I have had.
