You write:
"My biggest hope for my life is to transcend all of the old hurts and be free of them. I want to be able to forgive and have acceptance for others and just for life and what it brings me. I hope the same for all of you. Peace."

Yet are you not critically judging others - especially those who have anything to say to you that you may not agree with? We are all human, Twinsma. We all make mistakes. Many of us admit them. The rest just hold grudges and refuse to take any responsibility. Their anger festers like an open sore and all that's beneath it is hurt. As a happy mother and a seeker after peace I believe you are one of the former. Remember that the words you say hurt others just as much as their criticisms hurt you. Remember too that sometimes what you consider a critique may in fact be an innocent request or bit of advice. You may not have asked for it, but in asking questions you have left yourself open to all remarks, just like the rest of us here on Answers.

Before you get angry, please think about what I'm saying. No one wants to feel picked on. Very few people wish to make others feel bad. Things are said in anger that aren't meant. We are all guilty of it. Perhaps some things have been said to you in such a way, and perhaps you have said some yourself. You have been hurt before, as have I and so many others on here. You admit that right on your profile page. Not everyone who makes a comment is thinking badly of you and not everyone whom you think is out to upset you is meaning to do so at all. Lots of us are insecure. We think the worst of ourselves and think others must as well. This is not always the way. There is far more about you that is good than even you are aware of. Perhaps once you realize that you'll become cognizant of the fact that most people WANT to be liked by one another, and not everyone is out to hurt you or each other. I have a heck of a tough time with remembering that, too. Don't hold to grudges or let your anger at any wrongs, real or perceived, get the best of you. Know that people are just as human and easily offended as you are; that what they perceive may be very different from your view but that doesn't necessarily make it wrong or negative, and the rest should become clear. The majority of people enjoy being hurt as much as they enjoy causing it - not at all. The ones who have been hurt most act as if they do enjoy causing harm to others. They are also the most deeply wounded. Professing pleasure in causing another pain is existing at on the razor's edge of defensiveness and sadly we have all seen people do it, especially in a forum so ripe with emotion as R&S. There is too much drama and too much hurt here. Here's hoping we can all turn it around somehow.

No, when I start to judge people, it's more like diarrhea of the mouth. I just blurt it out and then later on I feel pretty bad about it. I think there must be a gene in my family that causes this oral incontinence issue, because my grandmother used to say things that I was sure was going to get us both beaten to death by an angry mob!

Edit: Oops, I don't think you were taking about me. Were you? Because you sound like you're thinking of certain R&Sers, and since I haven't seen you on here much, I don't think I am one of the Minor Gods/Goddesses that you are irked with. I can be over the top sometimes, but if I, personally, have done something to offend you, then I appologize (I put this appology in as a precaution because of the affor mentioned mouth disease).

My judgments of others?

My motto is judge not lest you be judged.
I cannot and will not judge you for what you are. All I can do is point you to Jesus and tell you that God sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life and John 3:17 says God did not send His Son to condemn the world but that through Him the world might be saved.

The price has been payed all you have to do is accept Gods free gift of salvation.

Since when have I judged others? I'm a pretty easygoing person. Lots of people have judged me, though.

I hear ya. A kind of hypocrisy I think. Flowery words with no real realization.

No one should judge, lest they be judged, and more harshly for such by the Lord.

Hi, no we love you, and we do not judge, we just tell the truth which we received by faith from our God and Saviour. I know it can sound like judging, but Christians believe that Jesus Christ came to show us the truth, and the way to live, and for salvation.

We do not judge, we just try to spread his word. God loves you, and even if you don't believe in him, He still believes in you!

Our judgments - nice and airy they may be - should not be of concern to you.

If I were in your shoes - I would be way more concerned about GOD's judgment.

From where I sit, your chances don't look so good right now.

Here's hoping they improve!
