I would agree with Organization being bad only when it starts to dictate to you.

And in this world a faith needs to have some organization if only to promote its growth.

When did "Religion" become a bad word?
I'm baffled at how the word "religion" is almost always used in a derogatory way lately. When did that happen? It reminds me of how, a long time ago, the word "gay" used to mean "happy". (It still does in a dictionary.) But now if you tell someone, "gee, you sure are gay today", they might think you're calling them a homosexual.

Words have been getting twisted up a lot in modern culture. No wonder people don't communicate very well.

The Merriam-Webster defines "religion" as:
- : the service and worship of God or the supernatural: commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
- : a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices

Sounds okay to me. Any worshippers of ANY religion have a problem with that definition? I believe that people who say "religion" in a negative way are the "do-your-own-thing" type of people. They "personalize" God, and forget that we are a human family, and like all families, we have our traditions: They forget that families have special days, special little things they do AS a family, and so does the family of God.

I love my Catholic faith, I love my Catholic religion, and I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Twist the word up all you want: The only loser in that situation is you.

Religion takes place in the Mental Realm (Soul)

Reality talkes place in the Spiritual Realm

When you get Saved your Spirit is Recreated and you are Translated into The Kingdom of GOD's Dear Son---The Kingdom of GOD

That is Reality

Religion cannot Save (Recreate) you (a Spirit living in a Body)

You can worship just about AnyThing in the Mental Realm (Soul)

First, I do not worship religion, I worship the Lord God.

Religion is a set of beliefs concerning that God. It is the set of "definitions" as to what that God is, does, and how to relate to that God.

We are not only physical beings, we have a spiritual side. That spiritual side longs for something which brings meaning to the life that we have. And that which gives meaning to our lives comes from our religion.

What religion means to me is that it gives me answers to those spiritual questions, which of course is very important to me.

Have a blessed day.

I worship God. Religion is not in heaven. What people think of me because of what I believe does not matter to me.. What matters to me is what God thinks of me.. God tells us to "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel." I do this because this is Gods command. I do not tell people that their religion is wrong or they believe wrong. I speak from a heart that Loves Jesus. I plant a seed and pray and let God work with that seed. Worshiping God is like the Greatest Joy one can ever experience.

According to God and Jesus Christ...religion has always been a bad thing. God never wanted Israel to establish Judaism. Jesus Christ did not die to establish an organized religion. God wants us to worship Him alone as Creator and He wants us all to trust, obey and believe in His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. God does not approve of the rest of the junk we call religion.

Any type of belief system that becomes organized is a threat to the advancement, freedom, and rights of the individual.
