What concerns me is that the first was a lower tooth but now she lost one of her upper front teeth just a week ago and now the other upper front tooth is loose and about to come out. I'm worried she won't have anything to bite with! I'm taking her to her dentist of course but is this normal? I'm a single Dad and haven't been through this since I was a kid.

Wow! Thanks for the fast responses everyone! I can sleep easier tonight and I'll load up on applesauce and chicken noodle soup for her! Thank goodness there is a place you can ask these questions anytime of day and get an answer! Whew!

It's perfectly normal. Kids lose their teeth at different rates. My 7 year old son lost 4 in a month and was just at the dentist and everything is fine. You're doing just fine and she'll be ok!

I'm not sure if this is 100% normal, but in my view, it seems normal. The rate of "changing teeth" is different for each person.
For example, I started this process later than the others. However, there were a few times when I lost two teeth in two or three weeks. Of course, the next time I lost my tooth, at least a month had passed.
I hope this helped, and again, I think this is normal to be losing many teeth at one time. She probably won't lose another tooth for a while after losing so many.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. The upper two & lower two front teeth are typically the first ones to go (not in that order). She should also be getting a new set of molars in the back if she hasn't already. Every one's different, but she's within the normal age range for this. Also, just so you know, girls tend to get their permanent teeth before boys which means they lose their baby teeth a little earlier. This is the same for wisdom teeth, by the way.

It's totally normal there is no set pattern for losing teeth. I have a daughter who would loose one or two teeth a month and another daughter who lost almost all of her teeth in about four month and she looked like she was being fitted for dentures. But almost all of her teeth grew back in in a bunch also she's have two or three coming in at the same time. Our dentist said that a lot of it would depend on what age they were when they lost their teeth. E lost them early by the time that she was five and A didn't start until she was seven almost 8 in fact she would get teased in school for still having baby teeth.
But the older one is a woman with almost perfect teeth and A is 15 and she's got good teeth also.

We all lose/lost our teeth differently. I remember when I was in Kindergarten I lost four of my front teeth in two weeks! I looked like a vampire! I pulled out my last molar during class in the first few days of fourth grade. I started loosing teeth in preschool. Some kids do not start loosing teeth until second or third grade.
Don't worry, it's normal to be different!

its like the cambells soup commercial. she'll be fine. as for losing them late. i would mention it to the dentist but its not a big deal. I'm 15 and didn't lost all my teeth til like 3 years ago. i didn't lose my first one til 2nd grade. some of my friends STILL have baby teeth.
