Hi, I am learning, and I believe Jesus gave us healing on the cross (Isaiah 53). Read in a modern version with simple english language like the New Living Translation. In my studies, many people have seen people healed, or have been healed by reading out loud, and BELIEVING the Bible. I really don't believe that any Christian should die of a disease, but I don't know that 100 percent. But read the following : Psalm 103:3, John 10:9, Deuteronomy 30:19,20, Psalm 118:17, Psalm 37:34, Joshua 1:9, Psalm 107:20, Mark 11:23-25, Exodus 23:25, Jeremiah 30:17, 1 John 5:14,15, Matthew 21:21, PROVERBS 4:20-23, Matthew 8:17.
I myself have a difficult disease, when I pray God's promises from the Bible, it has an incredible effect on me, and I keep following it until I am well. BUT FOR YOU, the most important scripture I can think of is Proverbs 3:5-6 :
"Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart, and don't rely on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge God, and He will make your ways straight."
I cannot promise she will get better. But we need to trust God above all else, even if death comes (it comes eventually for us all). I feel for you, because I have a family member who is dying, but she will not accept Jesus to save her. But if you believe Jesus, put all your hopes and trust in Him, and remain faithful no matter what happens. Understand this : "The Word of God (the Bible spoken) is ALIVE and ACTIVE, sharper than any two-edged sword. Able to penetrate bone and marrow, soul and spirit..." Speak God's words, and believe them with all you heart. And always go back to Proverbs 3:5,6 and rest your heart and mind there, trusting God.

Allie, there are a few things Jesus requires before a miracle can happen. You have to have no unforgiveness in your heart, no bitterness, be humble, contrite heart, etc. The other thing to remember is this - Jesus Christ is our advocate to the Father. He died for us and he also stands in the gap for us in prayer. When I need a prayer heard, and I expect it to be answered, I always bring it to Jesus and petition him as to all the reasons, etc. It takes time to go through all this. They are not short sweet prayers. I always ask him to take it to God on my behalf and then place my trust in him. Day and night. Pray about it. He has answered me many times - I think because I was so adamant and he got tired of me crying and whining already. I will pray for Shirley. God Bless.
