Alright, I love my dog very much and I'm very affectionate with him. I hug him a lot and he reciprocates.
However, the other day as I was leaving to go to the bar and my friends were picking me up I kissed my dog goodbye (like always do) but they saw me and told me that it was a 'weird thing to do.' Now I know none of them have dogs themselves so I don't think they're used to the idea. But on the other hand maybe they're right. geez I don't know.
I'd hate to stop doing it because now I'm used to kissing my dog everytime I go out the door. Much like a mother would kiss her children after dropping them off at daycare.

Your friends are too critical and they are wrong. It is ok to kiss your canine friend and buddy. My son raises the America Bulldog and he too Loves his dogs. He kisses them right on the mouth. You can imagine what a Bulldogs mouth looks like. I asked him why he kisses them dogs on the mouth and he said: Because I Love them.. He is 31 years old and all dog Lovers kiss their dogs. Keep kissing and hugging him. I bet your dog Loves it.

before i leave when i go somewhere i always make sure i kiss my dogs on the head..its just a natural thing..and you care for your animals like a child..so no its not at all weird..
they need affection too...

I don't blame your mates for saying it's weird though.
