First the Adversary was cast out. God later created mankind.
CATABOL - καταβάλλω - Katabolle

Jeremiah 4:
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

the elect, God's election were chosen before the foundation of this earth because they stood against Satan . Because they were chosen before the catabol. The overthrow of Satan. Why? They were fighting against Satan. And as it is written in Romans Chapter 8. They were justified and they were judged there.

He was cast down to Earth to serve God's purpose.

Satin was originally a perfect spirit son of Jehovah God. This spirit son was endowed with free will, he abused his freedom of choice. He began to crave worship that belonged only to God. Then enticed Adam and Eve to listen to him rather than Jehovah. This action made him Satan, meaning "adversary."
Two serious issues were raised by Satan, 1) the rightousness and rightness of Jehovah's sovereignity, 2) The integrity of intelegent creatures toward Jehovah. God didn't need to prove it to himself, but so that these issues would never again disrupt the peace and well-being of the universe, Jehovah has allowed ample time for them to be settled, beyond all doubt.
God has given his servents oppotunity to prove their loyalty to him, by their acts of loving obedience, in the face of enticements and persecution instigated by Satan. Those proving faithful reap great benefitsnow and have the prospect of eaternal life in perfection.
You can find relief at Revelation 20. Please read it and, feel free to contact any one of Jehovah's Witnesses, they would be more than willing to answer any questions you have.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden and disobeyed God, they invited Satan down here on this earth.
They obeyed Satan and not God. Blame Adam and Eve and not God. Man is to blame for sin. Man disobeyed God and to this day some are still doing it regularly.

Satan is here on earth to tempt us to doing anything and everything but what God has command us to do. That's is were your choice comes in at.

Satan will lie to you, he will cheat you, and steal from you just so you can be in Hell with him. He will try to influence you to doing things that are not right in the sight of God. Satan himself knows that there is a God, he wants you to believe that there isn't.
