Anyone in the top 6 still have a reasonable chance.... however, unless something drastic happens to the #24 or #48, the Championship will be a Hendrick driver.
The fact is, unless Gordon or Johnson screw up, one or the other will win. Gordon has 24 of 30 Top Ten finishes.... and over half of his races this season have been Top Fives... if he continues at the same pace in the last few races, it won't matter how many races Stewart or Bowyer win. The Chasers have to beat Gordon and Johnson if they are going to gain any ground on them.

If you look back at who has been the best at the remaining tracks you have to give the edge to Jimmie Johnson. Last year at this time he peeled off 5 races in a row where he finished first or second. In 2004, when everyone had written him off for dead, he won 4 of the last 6 races (including 3 in a row starting with the Charlotte race), had a 2nd and a 6th. I would say anybody in the top 5 or 6 has a shot at it right now but they would need Jeff and Jimmie both to falter in order to make up ground.

Well I'm going to go with anyone in the top 3 right now. Pretty much 9th-12th is out of it, because they would have to win quite a few races in order to win the Championship, and I dont see those teams having that kind of luck. I also dont see Clint Bowyer winning it, as their teams are having significant engine trouble with the recent misfortune at Talladega, I dont see that being something that you put alot of faith into. So I am going to say Jeff Gordon as my #1 pick. He is my favorite driver and he is leading the points right now, and he is an awesome driver. No one thought he was going to win Talladega, and looked what happened, and they got really lucky, so who's to say that they wont continue to be lucky?

Jeff Gordon and JJ have dodged bullets in first few races and riding on a lot of momentum. But remember it takes just 1 or 2 bad races (wrecks, blown engines, flat tires) and the field will be bunched up. If Jeff or JJ have any bad luck, the rest of the field will be ready to pounce on them. Right now it's between the Hendricks and Smoke as a distant third. I am a huge Tony fan, but looks like the Hendricks are going to steal the show. Tony will have to push hard and maybe win few races and finish up front. Finishing in top 10 won't cut it from here onwards bcoz the 24 and 48 are gonna do the same. Good luck Tony!!!

I think that Stewart will win. After the move Gordon made to cut off Johnson and Stewart this week I don't think he has any more friends. I also wish they would do away with the lucky dog rule. They don't ract back to the yellow anymore since the field is frozen so there is no danger. I hate to see someone make a mistake that costs them a lap and get back on the lead lap by not earning it.

I think Jeff, Jimmie or Clint Bowyer. Jeff has been good all year, Jimmie is very good on the tracks we have left in the chase, and Clint has been a wild card all year!! I am not going to completely count out Tony yet. But, he seems to be letting his emotions drive his car in the chase, so we will see.

I'm gonna say Tony Stewart but anything could happen. As long as Jimmie don't win it again. Can't stand the whiner.

It's going to come down to a Gordon/Johnson showdown for it, unless one has bad luck.
I'm pulling for Clint Bowyer though, I would love to see him pull an upset.

I hope the points tighten up by Homestead, but HMS will have to have some bad luck in order for that to happen. Kenseth may be out of it, as well as Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.
Smoke isn't out of it by far, and we know the more frustrated he gets in one race, the harder he'll come back for the next.
So, Stewart is my first choice.
