According to Christians we are his children...

...imagine if we were as unforgiving toward our children as this God.

Like C. L. Richardson said, God did not create sin. Man did. When Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the only tree God said for them not to eat from they willingly sinned. Satan did have some part in it, in that he tempted and deceived them, but they are the ones who brought sin into the world. Not God. God can't sin nor create sin.

When God created Satan he was perfect like Him. All the angels are. He was an angel. Then he willingly sinned. He was jealous of God. That's how he sinned. God didn't create him with sin.

God created man a perfect being. Sin entered the world after the fall of Adam and Eve. By sin, man set aside his trust in God and disobeyed. All subsequent sin would be disobedience and lack of trust. By sin, man rebelled against his status as a creature. Man chose to be like God without God and not in accordance with God.

well, first off, god didn't create sins...Satan did.Read the first 5 chapters of Genesis. He did know that Satan would tmpt adam and eve, thus making him create sin. He also knew that Jesus would come down to the earth and die so all of our sins would be forgiven. He loves us and is an amazing God. even if you like did something really bad, Jesus would be sad and would want you to repent and take responsibility, but at that time he would also be bursting with love for you. He loves you....Love him back!!

God bless you!!

Why assume God is the creator of sins?

Follow the biblical logic: In the beginning there was only god + god is all-powerful and the creator of everything = a god that is not responsible for evil.

Stunning logic.

Why did humans create religion would be a better question. Look to Nietzsche's "On the Genealogy of Morality" for one possible answer.

God didn't create sin. You can't create something that doesn't exist in and of itself -- sin is the absence of righteousness, as darkness is the absence of light. If light exists then so must darkness, and if righteousness exists then so must sin. God created us with the capacity to turn away from his righteousness and into sin, because only then can our love for him be genuine and not forced. To force us to be righteous would be unrighteous and not within God's character.

because the other option would be the absence of free will. Without free will we cannot love, so he gave us the capacity to sin, but to love also

Because he forgives us. And not all the sins that are in the bible were written down by God.

He didn't.

God doesn't exist. We created the story about "God" being the "Creator". It's just a myth, though. A superstition.

Sin is an outdated concept.
