Perhaps not all theistic dogmas have such simple answers for the tough questions, but the very popular and common religions always do, because this is a major selling point. Christianity began as an oriental mystery cult, but while this may have been a nice niche to start out in, most people want simple, easy to remember answers for all of life's difficult questions. Something reassuring. "You are doing great; you've found the answer, you are forgiven for anything you've ever done, this life is followed by eternal joyfulness. A magical man in the sky created and controls everything - and he LOVES you!" Much easier than the four small-print pages it would take me to gloss over the details in a dumbed-down shorthand version of my worldview in a nutshell.

Ever heard of Ockham's razor? is a principle attributed to the 14th-century English logician and Franciscan friar William of Ockham. The principle states that the explanation of any phenomenon should make as few assumptions as possible, eliminating those that make no difference in the observable predictions of the explanatory hypothesis or theory. The principle is often expressed in Latin as the lex parsimoniae ("law of parsimony" or "law of succinctness"):

“ entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem, ”

which translates to:

“ entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity. ”

This is often paraphrased as "All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the right one," or alternately, "we should not assert that for which we do not have some proof." In other words, when multiple competing theories are equal in other respects, the principle recommends selecting the theory that introduces the fewest assumptions and postulates the fewest entities. It is in this sense that Occam's razor is usually understood.

So which is the simplest solution? God created the universe and everything in it or evolution through a finite number of chances created the universe and everything in it. Remember since the universe has a beginning (The Big Bang) The dice of chance can only be thrown a finite number of times. So is chance or God the simplest answer?

Q: Why doesn't god appear to convince people?
A: God wants people to believe through faith.--your answer
If God appeared and proved his existence you would have no choice to believe or not, you would have to believe. You would no longer have free will.--my answer.

Q: Why was god so harsh in the Old Testament?
A: He was angry.--your answer
Being more primative people wrote more primative.--my answer

Q: How did Noah gather animals from other continents?
A: God made it possible.--Ockham's razor seems to apply here.

Q: Where did all the water come from in the Noachian deluge?
A: God created it special.--your answer
It rained--duh!!!
Look at the Grand Canyon. Research shows that the possiblity of the Colorado river cutting the Grand Canyon over millions of years is not as plausible as a great flood cutting it out rapidly in a matter of days.--my answer==again Ockham's razor.

Q: Why won't god appear for me?
A: God doesn't perform tricks.--your answer
Again you would have to believe in him then. You would no longer have free will.

Q: Why is there no physical evidence/proof of god?
A: God wants it that way.--your answer
There is lots of evidence for intelligent design and the theory of creation. However, evolutionists often claim that creationists are trying to use religion and the Bible to explain things. Why do Atheists and evolutionists insist on bringing up religion in an argument with a creationist? Have you ever seen an evolutionist just talk science in an argument with a creationist?--the answer is NO!!! Evolutionists always bring up religious doctrine to discredit creationists. You are afraid to have a purely scientific argument with us (for documentation on this ignorant trick that evolutionists use google Dr. Walt Brown--debate). You look at one side of a story w/o even considering the other. You are blinded by what others tell you. You don't bother to look for yourself. You are too busy following.

Q: Why won't god grant my wishes?
A: Sometimes he does if you pray enough.--your answer
To implore an aphorism, "Be careful what you wish for you just might get it." If God gave you everything you wanted you might go to see him a little earlier than you may like!!! Think of a child. Does this child know what's best for himself? NO, his parents do!

Q: Why do only certain prayers get answered?
A: God has his reasons.--your answer
God knows what you need before you need it. He is omnipotent after all.

Q: Who created god?
A: Nobody. God has always existed.--your answer
By asking such a question you are putting human limitations on God. Here is a hypothesis by Dr. Hugh Ross PhD. Astro-physics: "“If God created us, then who created God?”
My sons and the atheists are assuming that God is confined to time in the same way that we are. But the Bible and the equations of General Relativity tell us that the entity that brought the universe into existence is not confined in time like we are, or the way that the universe is.
God can move and operate in at least two dimensions of time. In two dimensions of time, time becomes a plane, like a sheet of paper, length and width. In a plane, you can have as many lines as you want and as many directions as you want.
It would be possible for God to dwell on a time line running through a sheet of paper that’s infinitely long, and that never crosses or touches the timeline of our universe. As such, God would have no beginning, no end and he would not be created. Sound familiar?"

Q: Why can't people report about the afterlife/heaven?
A: God doesn't want them to.--your answer
The bible says the dead know nothing.

Q: Why can't we find evidence for the soul?
A: The soul resides in the spiritual realm.--your answer
You are asuming that because you cannot see it, or detect it, it doesn't exist. Have you ever loved someone or something? Can you PROVE it? NO, you can feel it. You know it.

Q: Why can't we detect this realm scientifically?
A: God doesn't want us to?--your answer
Atheists often say, "What happens if science one day proves that God doesn't exist". Well my friend you must also be prepared for the possibility that science may prove he does. When creationists show the holes in evolutionary theory, like for instance, "What happened before the Big Bang?" Atheists often say, "Just because science cannot explain it now doesn't mean that science won't be able to explain it in the future. I counter with just because you can't detect this "realm" scientifically now doesn't mean we won't be able to do it in the future. "Your own medicine can sometimes have a bitter taste"--Confusious

Rev Einstein, “I'm glad the truth upsets and confuses you.....its suppose to confuse atheistic idiots.” Would any one of your three gods approve of this intolerant and childish answer? Printninga left out one important observation about people like you. Your lack of logic causes you to resort to anger and irrationality when your silly little fantasy is challenged. It is not the fault of the Atheist that you have no logical argument to defend your position. You disgrace the fine name of Einstein with your childish remarks.

Starting with the last question:

We cannot yet detect the "spiritual realm", just as for thousands of years we could not detect germs so God had people washing their hands, avoiding foods that can cause illness and getting the blood out of food so it would store longer without making people sick.

I am not going to waste my time with a longer answer.

This one makes it pretty obvious that God knows what he is doing, unless you think aliens or time travelers taught people about hand washing and food storage before they knew what germs were.

The answer is practice.

They are not actually "hearing" the questions in any meaningful way, what is happening is that they have trained themselves, Pavlovian style to *react* to those questions not hear them.

This is done through a combination repetition, carrot and stick. For example in some Evangelical churches, the congregation is told that "belief in evolution is a lie" every week or two and "those who believe in evolution are hellbound" and "a good Christian going to heaven believes in creation"

That goes for every single one of the examples you made.

They get the same dogma week after week after week, so when in the outside world someone asks them anything about evolution...they React to the question, instead of thinking about it.

you want me to bite the Rev. Einstein for you? He's a mean little bugger, isn't he?

the reason why to your question is that all the answers to all those questions is the same: we have no idea or explanation and we have no idea why, but that's our story and we are sticking to it!

don't you love it when you get them cornered and they start barking at you?

According to Christianity, we are living the eternal joke for the amusement of some omnipotent being.

The all powerful God who knows all of our actions long before we are born, creates us just so he can watch some of us be tormented in some hell for all eternity.

People are satisfied with pat answers.

Real thinking causes stress and makes more questions than answers. This is difficult for many people to deal with. They really want stopgaps to questions, so they don't have to think about them. Religion provides this service. That is why they are so popular.
