According to your beliefs it's against the rules to receive blood transfussions, but is it against your religion to give blood before a surgery, after all it is your own blood.

First off I'd like to say thank you for:
The words u chose; "your beliefs."
Then u "ask" if it is "against our religion."
Thank You for "asking."

1) It is against God's command.~~
"Abstain from blood"~Acts 15:28,29
As the source of life,
Jehovah has provided definite instructions
regarding the use to which blood may be put.

2) Again, it not that it's against our religion per se;
It goes against what God has said regarding blood.
Ponder this: Our blood is continously in motion,
inside ourselves; we are alive.
~~"The life is in the blood."~~Lev 17:11
Once blood leaves the body
it is 'no longer in circulation', in use; i.e. Dead Blood.
~ I don't think ppl would knowing want dead blood
to be put inside of themselves; do you?

Only Sacrificial Blood Has Ever Been Approved by God.

"When Christ came as a high priest...he entered,
no, not, with the blood of goats and of young bulls,
but with his own blood,
once for all time into the holy place
and obtained an everlasting deliverance for us.
For if the blood of goats and bulls
and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled
on those who have been defiled
sanctifies to the extent of cleanness of the flesh,
how much more will the blood of Christ,
who through an everlasting spirit
offered himself without blemish to God,
cleanse our consciences from dead works
that we may render sacred service to the living God?...
Unless blood is poured out no forgiveness takes place."~~
~~~Heb 9:11-14, 22~~~
According to the method of handling blood prescribed by the Bible, blood when taken from a body was to be poured out on the ground as water and covered over with dust. (Lev. 17:13, 14; Deut. 12:16, 23, 24; 15:23; 1 Chron. 11:18, 19) This is because life is in the blood and such shed blood is held sacred before Jehovah God.
So, according to the scriptural admonition above and because life is in the blood and such shed blood is held sacred before Jehovah God, the practice of donating blood to be stored for some future use conflicts with the method of handling blood prescribed by the Bible.
I know little of the Jehovah's Witness doctrine, so I looked this up for you.
There are some new guidelines for Jehovah's Witnesses use of blood products. See this website:
Several JW's have given you scriptural answers for the reasonings behind not accepting blood, and most have said that they cannot store their own blood for later transfusion. Their answers are, for the most part, sincere, this is what the Watchtower society teaches them. However, there are some discrepancies in the teachings of the society. JW's are allowed to take components of blood as the reasoning is that these constitute a very small percentage, often only 1 or 2%, however, they are allowed to take plasma, which is a major constituent of blood. My question is this: where in scripture does God say that only a certain percentage of blood is sacred and to be poured out onto the ground? If blood is so sacred to God, why does the society think it is perfectly legitimate to allow others to sin by donating the blood needed to collect these components, often large quantities are required. I have asked JW's this, but get no reply. For me a sin is a sin, and to openly permit, or even encourage, others to sin is despicable; does not the Bible warn us not to make others stumble by our own practices? Philippians 1:10 'that you make sure of the more important things, so that you remain flawless and not be stumbling others up to the day of Christ.' Another issue is that JW's can, if their conscience allows them, recieve a treatment known as a 'blood patch', this is a repair of a spinal tap that sometimes occurs following an epidural. A small amount of the patients blood is taken and then reinjected into the spine. Apart from the fact that this represents only a small percentage of the patients blood, there is no difference between this and using larger amounts of your own blood for transfusion. On the subject of eating blood, the Bible is quite clear about this, Genesis 9:3,4; Acts 15:19,20. which is why Jewish people will only eat kosher meat that is ritually bled. The Watchtower society states, in it's book, 'Reasoning from the Scriptures' "Any animal used for food should be properly bled". I have asked JW's about this also, none has ever felt the need to eat ritually bled meat, all being content to by from a normal butcher or supermarket. As my husband once did some major work at an abatoir, I can categorically tell you that modern day methods of slaughter do not remove all blood from an animal, therefore to eat meat in this way is against the commandment. Most of them will also eat game meat, which is often not bled at all.
Make of these matters what you will. as I stated at the beginning most indivdual JW's are sincere, however, there is much hypocrisy from the organisation. Oh, and as a petty aside, the JW who said that the body can survive perfectly well with just fluid replacement has clearly never worked in the medical profession and never seen a massive haemorrhage. I have done both. And, surprise, surprise, leeches are now recognized as valid medical treatment in some cases!!
The only time I know is when blood is taken to check their own medical conditions.We don't donate to keep.A sister has a pint taken out every month for medical reasons not to keep or store.And myself I have mine checked for diabetes and epilepsy med levels.We are totally against having blood transfusions for spiritual reasons.Check watchtower.org
Jehovah lays claim to the blood of every living soul on earth. That being the case, our blood does not really belong to us. It belongs to God. Therefore, judge for yourself the propriety of donating what does not belong to us in the first place.
no. We would not give our own blood as a stockpile.
We would however be alright with taking blood builders to increase the supply of red cells. Started one or two weeks before surgery, it would insure a good safety margin.
Contrary to many doubters, we don't cave in when the going gets rough and doctors insist on transfusions. Our faith is strong and our reason is good. Far too many bad complications occur because of transfusions. Without using them, recovery time is reduced. So is transmission of diseases scans do not catch.
The Blood issues with the WT&TS is hypocrisy at its finest ..
First of all the simple hypocrisy They continue to quote LEV. even thought there own worlds say that ACTS and ROMANS superseded that .. .. second if you interpret ACTS to avoid or shun, etc Blood .. Not what it really says which is EAT blood ..
then the greatest hypocrisy JW are now allowed to receive organ transplants with out reproach. IF you think for one second that there is no blood in the organs being transplanted … you are sorrowfully naive
BTW if it is GOD's LAW then why does GOD's LAW not apply in Bulgaria where it is WT&TS official policy to allow the congregation to choose with out reproach.
Just another example of how the WT&TS has nothing todo with God. And everything to do with its own preservation..
For the Witnesses.. if your over 18 and you want to adhere to this misinterpreted doctrine and risk your own lives .. please continue ..
But for you who have children who have not completely rejected this insane criminal doctrine I Cheer and leap for Joy when the state takes your children away!.. You are Criminals and Murders .. IN Jesus own words “would you save an sheep on the Sabbath “.. LIFE is more important than law . period.. you people are fools and do not deserve the children god gave you .. ..
The worst of it is all of you horrible hypocrites will nod and smile and say "well the light got brighter" when the WT&TS changes it's policy .. And not even think twice about the people you have killed.. Yes killed ...
You all should hang your head in shame, and pray to God ( the real one .. not the WT&TS who you really follow) and ask for his forgiveness..
