My dad had an MRI with contrast done. Ever since then, he got white patches on his bottom lip.?

Is that a normal reaction? Will it go away, or should he go to the doctor? He also stopped smoking and got on the nicotine patch around the same time.

My guess is honestly that he took some kind of painkiller, or quitting smoking is giving him a gnawing habit.. anyway I think those white patches are bite marks from his sleep

I can't imagine the patches would be related to the mri/dye. I've had many mri's, with and w/o dye, and the dye is benign anyway.
