Is it illegal if i use a minor (underaged teenage boy) for self defense, including practices with grabs, kicks, knees, punches, elbows to the groin of a young boy that agrees to allow this practice this to happen on him.

it's not a sexual activity, so i dont think the age of consent plays a role here.

Since by definition the minor has not reached the age of majority, he cannot agree to this. If he were to be injured you would be screwed.

That being said, even with proper padding and excluding strikes to the joints and head you're still running a risk of injury with any training partner.

A minor has legal authority to consent to this, and I would reccommend against it. I would expect the instructor would have something better lined up, if this is a legitimate class.

In most states, 16 is the age when a person can begin employment. You would have to ask your state labor commissars for a good answer.

Unless you want to be charged with battery and cruelty to children I would suggest that you find another willing participant. Besides even if he agrees now,, whats to keep him from saying that you beat him?

Trust me, find a different punching bag lol.

Don't. You or any of the other students could be sued by him or his parents if he gets hurt. He is not legally of age to consent to this.

If you are training with someone then that is training and not assault.

This is worded oddly and I am not sure what you mean.
