Amato - If God is obligated to do so, then is he really an all-powerful being?

Yes. There is an invisible super-being that made you. If you don't do what he says, think how he wants you to think, and feel how he wants you to feel He will torture you for eternity. Why? I have no idea why he doesn't just put them down with his shotgun. That way they wouldn't have to suffer. But, apparently this guy is into torture. Pretty disturbed, hunh. And yes, there is another invisible super-being that's fighting with the first invisible super-being. He wants to trick you and kill you and get you to go get tortured by the nice guy. lol.

It is ironic isn't it, that these same people say the soul is something that leaves the body after death, yet, it can be burned with fire? How ridiculous. When Jehovah God condemned Adam, he said to dust you are and to dust you will return Genesis 3:19. Jehovah God never said; to eternal burning hell for you Adam. It is the same today, if we are given the eternal death sentence from God, (which I hope that doesn't happen to me, or you) we would merely be dust. However, Jesus said this at John 17:3 taking in knowledge of Jehovah, and Jesus leads to eternal life.

People send themselves to Hell by rejecting God through Jesus Christ. The choice is before them.

God is obligated to do this as He is Holy and cannot abide evil in His presence. All who acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior are cleansed of their evil, therefore they attain Heaven.

People attribute to god an all-powerful status. They also say he is all-loving. These assertions are followed by an endless stream of "explanations" for how "bad things" happen and, in turn, people must be punished.

I'll shorten it down. If there is a god and it is all-powerful and all-loving, then we don't exist and nothing we perceive or believe does either.

Since we do seem to exist... there must be some other solution. But, I have yet to find any evidence that leads me to believe a god(s) is involved.

Hi , God is good in all he is and does. Heaven is a place where the will be no rebellion, hatred, theft, murder, or the such, which is why Satan and those with him were thrown out of heaven. God'ssalvation is simple, believe Jesus Christ cleanses you from all your sins, and live righteously according to the instructions of Jesus Christ. By doing so, we choose not to be theives, murderers, ect.. and live in love and peace with each other, which is how it will be in heaven. Those who choose to keep doing evil and break God's laws cannot enter into it, because sin is like a pollution, and there will be no pollution is heaven.

I think he's obligated to do so, given his judical nature. But God "wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1Tim 2:4

First of all you need to understand this. While GOD is indeed loving and merciful, the Bible describes HIM much more often as "Holy" and "Just".

Secondly - GOD's holiness, HIS divine sense of justice - demands obedience and perfection.

Since we cannot achieve that perfection on our own, GOD provided a way out - belief in HIS SON.

If you decide not to believe, you reject HIS free gift of salvation and eternal life - and therefore you are voluntarily choosing your own destiny apart from HIM forever - which is called HELL.

I'm very sorry for you, but it's really that simple....and that hard!

Why would a loving and forgiving God send people to hell? He/She wouldn't. No-ones going to be thrown in a firey pit of torture for eternity. It's just a way to scare people into following certain beleifs. A loving god's love would be unconditional, not "unconditional love EXCEPT for..." stuff. No ones going to hell.
Argue with me if ya want. But your not gonna win. ^_^

He is not the one who does so.You yourself do on you own accord.God gives you your lifetime to do one thing. And one thing only.To accept Jesus as your savior.By turning your back on him you are condemning yourself to Hell.It is a very small price for eternity.Don't you think? We will all be judged by this rule.No matter who you are or think you are.We are all the same in the end.

"hell" is designed to cleanse the earth and the universe of sin. If people continuously reject JESUS and the forgiveness that HE offers, then you are saying that I "want" the "lake of fire". GOD warns the world through the Bible. Sin is much more dangerous than what most perceive it to be.

GOD bless
