for the answers to their homework. I have a feeling she would have a few choice words to say about the value of doing your own work and that taking other people's answers for your work is tantamount to stealing!

It depends.

If they were in the St. Joseph Group (read: smart) she'd think it was clever.

If they were in the BVM Group (read: average) she'd give them a REALLY hard time.

If they were in the Baby Jesus Group (read: dull) she'd praise them heavily for figuring out how to ask questions.

The 'average' students worked the hardest (my personal observation) throughout my 12 years of Catholic schooling.

Sister Cyprian may see this a way to do research. No one is doing the work for you if you ask the question and then have to put the material together. It's just like looking it up in books but not as reliable.

I don't know what she'd think - but I know what I think - and you're right on the money! I always want to tell them (and have a couple times!) to do their own homework! It's not unlike copying someone else's answers, and doing that would get you into trouble for sure.
