Pretty sure it is. Jesus isn't recorded as being concerned with animal sacrifices and other trivial aspects of old testament law. In fact, the old testament doesn't really deal with morality. The old testament mainly lists a bunch of things you shouldn't do, who is related to whom and tells us some stories, while the new testament gives three different, incoherent, versions of Jesus's life and teachings. Thanks to the old testament, we have a bunch of unbelievable (unimportant?) stories; and thanks to Jesus, we have an inconsistant moral code and slightly fewer unbelievable stories.

Oh hell yeah!
Don't expect the fundies to give you that answer, they have far too much invested (in the banking sense as well as others) in denying it.
I read Parables, the things Christ is attributed to have said, and they stand out from most of the Old Testament and a good swathe of the New Testament for their wisdom, humanity, and they stand MILES apart from the church by instructing people that they "are as Christ" and to "Look within".
I'm not a Christian in any way that an established Church would accept, my beliefs are FAR to heretical for that. Oh but I read what Christ says, and I hear it. Its the other stuff that has me worried.

The moral code would be the same. Jesus came to fulfill the law not change it. Jesus came to lead us into the fulfillment. He died for all of humanity so that we could get back to God.

Not really. It was the next step in the moral code as He felt they were ready for hearing this now. And it was the more perfect for those who want to go a step further to what God really wanted.

The ONLY reason why it is different is because now that Jesus has died, there no longer has to be a death penalty for sin.
