I don't completely agree. In your analogy, Jesus may have thrown a flotation device out, but it's not that we refuse to accept it. We don't even know what it is, save for the Holy Spirit working in our hearts to tell us what it is. If we are really all sinners like you say, and we cannot get into heaven by ourselves, then it's not so much sending ourselves to hell, as a holy God giving us what we deserved in the first place.

AMEN and Amen.
Yes, it's a choice given to us. That shows God and Lord Jesus is a loving God, altogether lovely giving us all the chance not go into damnation, to the Hell of Fire.
John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
Yes, to me Lord Jesus is the only way to eternal life, John 14:6, no other way not of our selves, Eph 2:8-9, not of Mary neither saints, Acts 4:12, Philippians 2:10-11.
Do not be tired in reminding people that only by the Power of God the Holy Spirit can convert people to turn to God no one among us, but only Godthe Holy Spirit can change people's heart, Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. AMEN.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.
If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.
First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.
How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?
It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.
One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.
Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.
If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.
If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.
How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.
Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.
If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.
How likely is that????
Think about it.

It is a very normal human behaviour that we will do something only if we know that we will gain or benefit from that act. Similarly when we say anyone (even a one year old baby) not to do anything then it is very likely that the human will certainly attempt to do that. Here we need to threaten this human that if you do this act then you will have to face this punishment. Very common thing in this is the traffic rules. If there is no punishment then traffic will be in chaos. It is not God wants to threaten human but it is the very nature of human that it need to be threatened for his own benefit and living.

Does it really make sense to you to put the responsibility on the least powerful beings in the story?
Your deity set it up, it's his responsibility, and his fault. Fortunately I don't have to deal with your scenario. I'll go where I please.
I'm not drowning, and don't need a floatation device. As a Taoist I know how to ride the currents.

Jesus himself says that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that no man shall come to the Father except through Him. So if you want to get to Heaven you must except Jesus' death on the cross as payment for your sins and then REPENT, turn from your sins, proclaim the Name of Jesus as your savior. Confess with your mouth that HE "JESUS " is the LORD of your life and go, teach others the same thing. Humble yourself and start do'ing what is right in the eyes of the LORD, READ YOUR BIBLE!!! with love in Jesus"name, your friend in Christ, Bobby

If I'm told I'll suffer an eternity of torment in some hell if I don't worship a God or believe in a specific theistic view, that is a threat - regardless how you try to paint it.
It is no different then an earthly dictator tormenting his subjects because they don't worship him or they disobey him.
Torment << >> Worship = Threat
To claim such a being to be all-wise, all-knowing, all-loving and all-merciful is hypocrisy and irrational.

I just ask Jesus into my heart on july 20th. of this year and it was the best decision i have ever made. I want to share God's love with everyone on earth.

I agree with your explanation. But I disagree with your last statement, "I am tired of people attacking Christianity and taking the truth out of context." Dear one, God always brings the good out of the bad. So when people attack Christianity and twist the Truth, it gives us opportunity to speak the Truth. People are afraid of Jesus! They're afraid for there to be a God! They don't want to answer to anybody. But their attacks , which are stumbling blocks to His little ones, will come back to haunt them. God will not be mocked. So don't tire of their 'nonsense'.... look at them as opportunities to spread the Gospel Good News! Jesus wins - He always wins. Bless you.

God does not scare anyone with hell, it is not a scare tactics but a truth being said of God.
He gave a free gift of salvation, all we have to do is accept the gift, but still people refuse to do so and still blames God for sending people to hell.
John 8
23And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
24I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
