If it has been 2 years, you do need an eye exam for your new prescription, which costs around $100 without insurance. I don't know how much contacts cost but it probably depends on what brand/type you get.

Now by law you have to get an exam evey year.I use doctors Bizers Vision world which parent company is ECCA (Eye Care Centers of America) http://www.ecca.com/our-stores/ they have stores all over the country and there prices usually stay around the same. Usually my exam and fitting runs around 89$. Right now they have a special for exam, fitting, and 3 month supply of provision single vision lens for 99$

Yes, you have to have an exam and buy the lenses. Depending where you go, expect it to run at least $200

For the exam, it's usually about $80... a bit more if you're also getting a regular glasses exam (don't ask me why... they seem like the same exam to me...). For the contacts themselves, it will depend on the type. I like the AcuVue 2 week disposables, and a year's worth are about $170.

It is better to get it rechecked for it is two years since you checked. The cost varies from place to place. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/
