Muhammad and Jesus?

Question

I was real curious and I really want to know (I don't want to offend anyone). I'm a muslim girl and always wanted to ask this question but didn't get a chance to ask. Why is Jesus haves a special power and Muhammad is just a normal human. Like Jesus can bring dead people back to life and Muhammad is just...Muhammad. Why is that?

In islam, we belive that he is a prophet and he is not died. And we also belive that he will come in the future to do...I can't remember but it said thet he will come in the future and right now he is in heaven. and i forgot the other stuff

Don't let any one confuse you that Jesus has more power or that Jesus is God. You have asked such a question that gives Christians opportunity to twist your mind and make you believe what a Muslim is not supposed to believe. Remember Kalimae Tawheed

There is no God but one and only God and Mohammad is
Messenger of God.

No one can do miracles except God. Tt is God who does the miracles through the Prophet to let Prophet appear to have such powers, so people can accept him as Prophet and Messenger of God. Because people do not believe a human being as Messenger of God unless he shows some proof with miracles. Allah gave power of showing miracles to Jesus to test Jewish Priests and make a case against them. Allah knew at the time of Moses that Jews will reject Jesus 1400 years later even after showing them miracles. God told Moses when Jesus will come and when Mohammad his last Prophet will come. God had decided long ago to end guiding Jews after they will reject Jesus. According to God's plans Jesus came 1400 years after Moses and got rejected with humiliating accusations on him and his mother even though God made baby Jesus speak in cradel in favour of his mother. With God's leave Jesus showed more miracles than any Prophet before did in the history of mankind. Jews disobeyed Moses and killed many of their Prophets before Jesus came.

God punished them through Babylonians several hundred years before Jesus came. Babylonians killed thousands of their people, destroyed Jerusalem, tied rest of the jews with ropes and draged them to Babylonians as slaves. They remained in captivity for 150 years until an Iranian king got them freed and allowed to return to Jerusalem.

After God managed to lift Jesus to heaven alive and appeared to Jews that they had him crucified. God knew in advance thousands of years before what they will do to Jesus, so God never sent and will never send any other Prophet to Jews until the end of this world. Meanwhile God had them punished by Romans severely around 3rd or 5th A.D. Romans killed hundreds of thousands of Jews in Jerusalem, destroyed their temple and kicked them out of Jerusalem. Romans also banned Jews to retun in Jerusalem again. They scattered all over the world and call this long period diasporas. God had Hitler massare Jews in world War II and also Spaniards did the same to them. It was in 1948 when Britain created Israel and let them return to Jerusalem after nearly 1940 years living in exile from Jerusalem.

As prophesized by Moses in Torah and Jesus in Bible Mohammad SAW was born in 572 AD in the Bakka valley now known as Mecca in Arabia.

God knew that Arabs will not only accept Mohammad as their Prophet and Messenger of God in his life time, but will sacrifice their lives to establish God's religion Islam in Arabia and beyond.

If you read Quran you will see scientific knowledge very clearly written in it 1400 years ago about how sperm grows month by month in the womb of mother until it takes birth. Today scientists agree that it was impossible for Mohammad being illiterate to have achieved such a scientific knowledge to write in Quran by himself as the enemies of Islam claim. Christians often say Mohammad copied some of the stories of Bible and Torah. Both of thesebooks do not have scientif information about many natural fenomemons. Neither sny microscopes were available any where in the world to find out about sperm growth in females wombs. Quran has knwledge about how mountains are built, how oceans are joined together but bodies of waters have separate characteristics and no changes occur whre two bodies of water mix together. How clouds form and rain falls and many many more that neither no any previous divine revelation had before. These are the miracles God has given in Quran to Mohammad SAW.

My dear don't fall victim of enemies of Islam. You being Muslim should ask such questions only to Muslims who will honestly give you best answers.

Did you ever wonder why Muhammad did not continue what Jesus taught? Jesus said to love your enemy. Muhammad did not love his enemy...he had them killed. Jesus taught us not to kill others because of their sins. He could have stoned a women to death, as was the practice at the time, but instead He saved her. Jesus taught us that we all have sinned and don't have the right to judge others like that. Why then did Muhammad take the law into his own hands and change things? Muhammad was a sinner, he admitted that himself. Jesus never sinned. Jesus never took money from people, never robbed caravans, never had slaves and captives. Muhammad did. Jesus was prophesied and Muhammad was not. Jesus performed many miracles and Muhammad could not.

The reason is simple...Jesus is The Son of God. Muhammad is not even a prophet of God. I'm sorry and I don't mean to offend, but it's obvious that God would never send someone like Muhammad after His Son! There was no need for Muhammad. There is still no need for Muhammad. Jesus will return. Only through Jesus are we saved!

Great question
There is a very big difference betwen Muhammad and Jesus.

Muhammad is still dead in the place where he was buried and Jesus is not dead but alive.
Jesus is the Son Of God (without sin)
Muhammad was just a man sinner
I do not agree that Muhammad can bring people from the dead because Muhammad is stll dead and JESUS is alive and has defeated DEATH on CALVARY so that all who come to Him can have life eternal.

The Bible teaches that Jesus was God from all eternity ,not just born the Son of God.He was God and took on human form to be able to be like us but sinless,and therefore commit the perfect sacrifice.God is a complex being.We use about 10% of our brain,if we could use a lot more ,we might be able to understand Him better.He is the Father,the Son, and the Holy Spirit.It is like the quotient 1x1x1=1 .Three separate numerals but still the same number in the end.It isn't like 1+1+1=3 separate gods.So as the Bible teaches in John 1,Collosians 1 and Hebrews 1 as well as Genesis 1. God created ,Jesus created and the Holy Spirit was there at creation as well. There fore when God became man ,even though he voluntarily emptied Himself of some of His power. He was still able to heal,raise from the dead,read thoughts,etc.He even said"I have the power to lay down my life and the power to raise it back up again".Which is what He did after 3 days in the tomb.
Muhammed on the other hand just took a lot of Judaism ,changed some of the promises to Ishmael instead of Issac and changed what was real for 2000 years in 600 A.D. to a new religion.2000 years of Judaism and 600 years of Christianity had already passed.

Muslims defended Muhammad because he is as revered as Jesus by the Christians. For Muslims, they believed both Jesus and Muhammad. Islam, Judaism and Christian have the same roots. The only different between them is that Jews does not recognise Jesus and Muhammad. Christian does not recognise Muhammad. As for Muslims they recognised that Moses (Messenger of Gods for the Jews), Jesus (Messenger of God for the Jew which they condemn and eventually happy to get him "crucified") and Muhammad (the final Messenger of God to be sent to the world which was from the Arabic bloodline).The three religion originated from the same sets of God messengers which the Jews, Christians & Islam believe of their existence; i.e. Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Jonah, Joseph, Moses, Jesus. Islam combines and update the teachings in Torah and Bibles and make it as a "way of life".

Because Muhammad was not from God, and was not blessed by God .. Also what did Muhammad tell of prophecy's . Christ mentioned some and they are coming about .Also Jesus is the 2nd person of the trinity which most people want to tear apart because they don't understand it ..Now no where do you see Jesus tell you to lie or to provoke anger or to kill He is Love and that's what He preached. Actually Prophet Soloman had much more "powers" than Jesus did.

Prophet Soloman was given the power to control the air, the Jinns and animals.

Much more than what Jesus was given during his 3 year Prophethood.

In Islam Prophets are not "valued" based on their miracles.

Moses also had miracles...........

Jesus was sent unto the Jews as a final chance of redemption for the Rebellion they did against God by killing so many Prophets.

Jesus was their Messiah (last chance Prophet) and if they believed in him and obeyed him then God would not send a curse on them.


God sent Jesus down with a miracle birth and gave him miracles to prove he was a True messenger of GOD and so that the Jews would not call him an "imposter" and then KILL him like so many Prophets before him.

However, the danger of seeing miracles is that if you see one and do not believe then the punishment is VERY severe. As the Quran mentions the companions of Jesus asked for a "Maida" (food from Heaven) and then they were told that if they see it and taste it but then do not believe then their punishment would be DOUBLE.

Miracles can be a double edged sword and that is why the "lanat" came down on those who saw Jesus do miracles but did not believe.

Prophet Mohammed warned his companions that do not be like those who asked for miracles and then base their faith on them. Base your faith on revelation and the merciful Prophet showed more miracles after their faith was very very solid so it was not used to convince them but to strengthen them even more.

Prophet Mohammed was sent with a miracle that would not only be seen during his lifetime but a miracle that all of mankind till the last day would see --- the Quran.

Good question!

Jesus told his disciples that they would do all the things he did and even greater things. We are all in the father and the father is in us. WE are joint heirs with Jesus thru the spirit of Christ consciousness. The Quran calls it God consciousness and being attained to faith. Who knows, the prophet Muhammad may have done many great things unknown to others. I imagine him to be a very humble man. Allah may have directed him to do some things in secret.

Jesus is not the only one to raise the dead. Even before the Birth of Jesus there were men of the Old testament that raised the dead.

The Quran, New testament and Torah exist in harmony.
At least there is an understanding that allows them to exist in harmony. This is the understanding of divine love. Prayerfully it is your understanding.
