I don't. I refuse to believe that the first humans came from apes. This clearly goes against the Bible. Adam and Eve did NOT come from the uterus of an ape or monkey. Agree?

There is scientific proof of evolution. I am not bashing you or your religion but I have the feeling your pretty young and haven't been taught about it in school yet.

No, Adam and Eve did NOT come from the uterus of an ape or monkey.

While I don't believe that evolution happens the way Darwin's Theory proposes, I do believe that evolution happens to an extent. We're constantly evolving. Every time a creature mates with another the resulting offspring is an amalgamation of all of its ancestors. The traits of some ancestors are dominant while others are recessive. It is normally the dominant traits that we see developing over time. Those dominant traits are not necessarily the GOOD ones. This can be evidenced by looking at the results of in-breeding.

This, in itself, can be proven with man's own ability (given by God, of course) to manipulate species of livestock and other animals by cross-breeding. This can be done with plants, too! This all equates to more meat per animal or increased nutrition in the fruit of the plant. In general, we're trying to create a better product.

Does having the ability to do this make it right? Not necessarily. But having that ability confirms that a certain amount of evolution (By no means am I including genetic engineering as a "natural" evolution. There is nothing natural about that at all.) does/could happen on its own if the conditions are right.

Well, maybe I shouldn't say that it happens on its own. It is all designed by God to work the way it does.

"Adam and Eve did NOT come from the uterus of an ape or monkey."

well there is why you don't believe in evolution, you don't even understand it. change is gradual, it takes place over many generations. there are no sudden single-generation mutational leaps from one species to another, that is far too improbable. instead, the contents of the gene pool and thus the typical physical form of the population changes over time until the population is 'different enough' from some ancestral population that it could be called a new species.

there is no physical evidence that adam and eve so much as existed, but supposing that they did, their parents must have been physically human, almost identical to them, just as it is with modern day humans (although perhaps the parents were not spiritually human, whatever that means).

Evolution does not say that human beings descended from apes or monkeys even though many people keep quoting that as if the theory of evolution said it. It says that humans and apes came from a common ancestor. The proof of that is that we are so closely related in DNA and everything that defines the two species.
The Book of Genesis is a theological work inspired by the Holy Spirit to teach religious truth not science. When you expect it to answer questions that God never intended it to answer, you get yourself in an impossible situation of a conflict between religion and science. There can be no real conflict between them since all truth comes from God.

Of course Adam and Eve didn't come from the uterus of an ape or monkey. That's not even what the theory of evolution states.

I think God used the process of evolution to develop life on this planet. Why do you think God is limited to your personal little interpretation of scripture?

You are clearly a moron. I have seen you post many times the same stupid-a.ss question before (which really is a statement with the word agree? at the end of it to legitimize your soapbox). I myself, and others have all told you that the the theory of evolution holds that we descended from a common ancestor of apes, not that we came from apes. Evolution and Survival of the fittest go hand in hand, you really need to use the other 98% of your brain before you post idiotic questions like this.

I don't believe we came from apes, no. However, even though I know God created the universe, I haven't completely ruled out the possibility that He may have allowed things to evolve in some way. Either way, He is the Creator and gets all the glory.

If that's the only reason on why you don't agree with it...them man are you more hopeless than I thought....Just because it's not in a book that was written a few thousand years ago, before evolutionary theory (indeed, before most science was even around) came about...then that's pretty sad. I MIGHT be able to understand if you can explain away the mounds of evidence for it but...for that reason only...then damn that's rather pathetic in my book...

Did you ever stop to think that maybe evolution was created by God. I believe in Evolution, not creationism. But that doesn't mean that I don't follow the 10 commandments and live a life for Jesus.
