A couple of years ago we had a brand new camera that fell off the roof of a moving car (no details to avoid embarassing my GF :)

The screen cracked, and evenually was all but unusable (black in our case).

Depending on the model, the camera may be repairable if you can open it up, figure out how to disconnect the screen, find the part number and google it, buy a new one, and re build the camera in reverse.

But the parts may not be available for new cameras, or may not be cheaper then jsut replacing the camera.

That and living without the screen are your options.

eliminate the batteries and use mushy warmth, the coolest of a radiator or airing cabinet is terrific, do no longer use direct warmth which incorporate a hairdryer, shop any get entry to door such because of the fact the battery door open, you may could desire to shop it there for days, the assumption is it must be snuff dry interior. verify the battery contacts for verdigris and clean if needed, this works on all kinds of digital equipment. the only time this would not artwork is that if the water replace into contaminated. Once again, camera repair is NOT a do-it-yourself project - unless you're a trained tech.

Your camera is probably only usable now as a paperweight. Repairs will cost more than a new camera and it certainly is not covered by the warranty.

Enjoy shopping for your new camera.

Water and gravity are the leading killers of digital cameras.
