I am 5'3,150-158 lbs and desperate to lose weight. I refuse to be anorexic or to totaly cut out food (considering i absolutely love it) But i am aiming to lose 20 pounds, or reach around 135 (my height and age's ideal weight).
I found a "lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks" diet on google, consisting of:
Fruit, vegetables, and nuts only.
no milk, juice,coffee or tea, water ONLY.
take a long jog or run every day, wearing a sweater no matter how hot it is (the more you sweat the more you lose) and drinking LOTS of water.
does this diet sound good? i also want to add in taking apple cider vinager pills...will that help?
Please give me your opinion!

20 pounds in 2 weeks is almost impossible, unless you take drastic measures that will pose a risk to your life and health. 10 pounds in 2 weeks is even a challenge. A more viable goal is 2.5 pounds per week. So shoot for 20 pounds in 8 weeks.

I am not sure if it will help you lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks.

Im not sure about that diet tough.
Here is what I think you should do

Eat 3 meals with at least one snack.

You should eat a big healthy breakfast within an hour when you wake up. Maybe a fruit smoothie ?

Since I have lunch at school at 12:15 I try to pack some healthy foods. Whole wheat sandwich, some fruits, carrots, and water.

I get home at three so I will try to eat a snack before dinner.
Something like a granola bar [pria bars or nature valley]
and drink water. Or you can just have fruit, couple of pretzels, or zen mix. Hand full. Dont eat the whole bag.

Dinner should be around 5 or 6.
So whatever your parents make but pay attention to the
portion size. If you are full don't eat any more. Eat slowly.

Try not to eat after 7.

Do the exercises whenever you have time.
Jog, dance, just be active. Keep your self busy
because boredom sometimes leads to food.

that is a horrible diet. you could very well end up in the hospital doing that. basicaly any diet that restricts any food groups is a bad diet. also you could pass out from heat exaustion running with a sweater on if it's hot. you could also run the risk of getting dehydrated. the best way to lose weight is healthy diet and exercise. depending you your age it may take more time. i'm 5'6 and weighed 150lbs. it took me 6months to lose 10 lbs. not water weight but 10 real pounds. i have kept the weight off since jan 07 started diet/exercise plan in june 06. also if you did this for say 2 wks or 1 month then stoped you would gain all the weight back b/c yur body will think you were starving b/f and start storing fat once you start eating normally. you may even gain back more weight than you lost. i suggest south beach diet. that is the diet my dr recomends and it is a sustainable diet meaning that you could stay on the diet for the rest of your life and not feel deprived.

I lost a lot of weight recently and the suggestions you found on Google are good suggestions.

My sister and I found a lot of tips at http://www.grabsometips.com/fatloss4idiots.html because we wanted to lose fat. You see...by burning the fat, you will lose the weight. One of the secrets that we found on this website is the eating of 5 - 6 small meals a day. This method melted almost 40 pounds off of me because it increased my metabolism.

You cannot lose weight if you only eat 3 meals a day. Eating 5 - 6 small healthy meals a day along with light exercise such as push ups, walking and sit ups flushed all of the fat out of my body quickly.

An example of a good breakfast is yogurt, oatmeal, strawberries, scrambled eggs, skim milk or/and Special K cereal.

Thats loopy communicate....20 pounds is nearly a infant what my 10 month previous weighs.....what in case you misplaced 10 pounds??? there is those products at GMC OR GAC in any case its at a wellness keep and you drink it and its think to flush you out.

The only way you can drop 20 lbs in two weeks is if you weigh like 400 lbs or something.

for your height/wt the best you could do is maybe - maybe 10 lbs and how you got there wouldn't last long once you began to eat & drink normal again.

BTW, your fad diet - you won't make it to the second day before you cave in. I tried that one before - brutal.

It's impossible to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. If you take in the fact that it takes burning 3500 calories to lose a pound.

Also your current body fat and muscle mass plays a part in how much you can lose. The more muscle you have the more calories you can burn.
