My friend has had the job longer than any of us and she helped me get the job. We work at the front desk at school. I just moved out not too long ago because living with her was a living hell. Only problem is that she gossips about me to our boss and our boss even tells me what she says. Our boss likes to gossip too. She has been invited to sex parties by some faculty members, she has went to a concert with our boss, she has been given the key to the building and comes into it anytime she wants to use the work computer, she used up over 70% of the space on the work computer for her music, she doesn't even do any real work unless it's for a professor or is mandatory, she leaves all the work for me....she's really arrogant and i'm fed up. I'm just fed up with how she talks about me to our boss. When i moved she sent our boss 10 text messages about it. Who does that?

I'd say it might be time to look for another job. And maybe she's not as good of a friend as you think she is.

"HAS WENT"?????? HAS WENT?????

And you work at an institution of "higher learning"????? How did YOU ever graduate with "has went" being considered proper English grammar?

Regarding your job situation, my advice is to RUN as quickly and as FAR in the opposite direction from your job as possible.

1-it is not right for your friend and boss to gossip about you or ANYONE else.
2-it is NOT right for your BOSS to be telling YOU what the gossip is all about!
3-your friend's behavior has nothing to do with gossip, just bad behavior.
4-don't do her work for her, it helps NO one.
5-be GLAD you moved and no longer live with this "friend" who's not really your friend.
6-since your boss is part of the problem, you cannot lodge a complaint against her, but go to HER superior... IF she has one.

But your best alternative is start looking for a new job, maybe a new town!

Have a polite day.

She gossip, lies, doesn't work, sexes around.

I would NOT call her a friend. If the boss is on her side, I'd say look for another positon in the school, or transfer elsewhere. No sense in speaking negatively of her unless she is really causing major commotion. The work ethic of hers has got to go. I'm not sure how close you are to your boss, but this doesn't look good.

Refrain from telling this witch anything about your life, work, or family. Keep it mum yes, no, maybe and that's it. She'll experience her downfall soon, and then you can throw the party your rightfully deserve.

You are a whining complainer. Get another job, or do your work and get out of the office gossip circle.

You need to confront her about it. Tell her to stop talking about you to your boss.
