I believe there are some circumstances where your prayers will be hindered until you deal with a certain sin in your life. You have to listen to the Holy Spirit. Here's an example regarding marriage:
1 Peter 3:7 - In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

God could do that. Not sure if its really in his character. But it is not proper for us to give the bargaining chip. What i mean we can't say God, if you will do such and such then I will quit such and such. God would have to initiate such a deal. I do believe God holds back certain things because of sin.

It's not about making deals; it's about you bringing your behavior more in line with God's design and desire for your life. God might be keeping you from a job due to some sin....but it's not just about changing the behavior, it's about changing your heart.

No.
Romans says God's goodness leads us to repentance. He blesses you and is good to you first, and that is what leads you away from sin.
We love Him because He first loved us. Seeing the blessing of God's salvation in your life should lead you away from a life of sin. And when you do sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, that is, Christ Jesus.

No, but you will only realize your full potential by following God and his commandments. This means abandoning sins such as stealing, drinking, and philandering.

You need God to tell you to stop lying if he'll give you something?
That's is like spitting against the wind isn't it?

God grants prayer in accordance with what he knows is best.
God is all knowing and we are not and we do not always understand the consequence of what we are asking for.
