I really didn't, but our QB acts like the Lions are on a mission from God. Why would God want the Lions to win? What about the other teams? Have you ever prayed for something and the opposite happened? Just wondering. Please, no offense, I have always wondered about this part of prayer.

Everything has a purpose. What it is? I don't know. I think GOd has a lot of work to do with the homeless, poor, drug adicts, violence, crime, war, famine that a game between Eagles and Lions.

No offense, prayers are always welcomed but instead of focusing on a game or two, pray for worthy causes.

I know that most questions like this are "jokes", but, for the benefit of those who profess some level of spirituality, it is highly doubtful that any deity would care which team wins or loses.

As far as *your* team is concerned, the recent drubbing of the Lions at the hands of the Redskins, either casts doubt on whether any supernatural being cares about the Lions (except, maybe, in terms of revenge for them devouring Christians in Roman times?) ;) or it shows that supreme beings are fair-minded, if not lop-sided, in their actions!

As far as *my* team is concerned, I know G-d is an atheist! ;)

Even if there was a god, praying about football games would be ludicrous with all of the real problems going on in the world. No god would care who won a game.

Actually, based on personal experience, God doesn't always give you what you want just because he didn't hear your prayers, sometimes, its for your own good. If god doesn't answer your prayers for a particular event, he would give you something else which is better...

Because the Redskins stomped them this week and God like Washington DC better than Detroit.

You need to pray for the NY Giants. Only then will you experience the true fulfillment of all that is holy and pure...

The Lions have to learn how to fly to catch us ~Eagles~

They would have to go on a diet, he he.

God don't care about games, just about his people, our souls-spirits..... not the temporary stuff of the world.

When you pray for you OWN will to be done, it's the same as witchcraft.

The Truth:

God sometimes says no. Especially if we are simply being selfish.
