I'm travelling to the Philippines in a couple of weeks, and I'm just wondering if I need a visa or transit visa of some sort in China? Since I'll be taking the plane from Brussels to Frankfurt then the plane has to stop in Guangzhou China for an hour then proceed to Manila. And since I still am a Filipino citizen, I was thinking that maybe I won't need any visa to China, though I have my permanent residence from a nordic country. thanks.

if you are not staying more than 24 hours in China, all crew and passengers do not need a visa to transit to China.

A Filipino visiting China needs a visa. Thus, apply for a visa in the Chines Embassy of the country where you are now.
