i feel like ppl hates me here
I mean, YES, I am rich and I have everything I need. But my parents give like 10% of their money away! And I'm not materialistic, I'm just like everybody else. And yes, I wear expensive brands, but it's not for the brand but because I like it.
It's just my life style and how i was born. i can't do anything about it! And just because you're rich, doesn't make you spoiled or selfish.
RIGHT?!

to the contrary being rich means you have succeeded. you should be glad your parents are able to provide for you and theres nothing wrong with wearing nice clothes and buying nice stuff as long as you dont take it overboard. just tell the haters to shuv it.

That is soo true i mean im the same wayy well im not totally rich but.... i got more money then most i totally kno how you feel like wearing Hollister and Abercrombie i love the clothes there yea they are exspensive then most stores but like you said its just because you like the clothes. I kno its hard cuz people are always thinking that your a spoiled brat but you have to think of it this way its because they dont kno what its like and if they did then they would no that there totally wrong and that they shouldn't judge you. Just because your rich doesn't mean your a spoiled brat. Another thing i just want people to kno money doesn't buy happiness it might seem like it but it really doesnt.

Well, asking this question makes it seem like you love affirming the fact that you are rich. Some people find that inappropriate, which would repel them. To an affluent family member here, you look like your money is new money, since you feel the need to publicly announce it -like you are doing here; and among the middle classes and the less fortunate, you look like a stuck up witch, and give a bad name to all members of affluent families, philanthropists, and charity contributors just because your new money makes you belong to the same group in some country club dinner or a fundraiser.

I need to know more about you. It's pretty hard to know why someone would hate you without knowing all the details.
I don't hate you just because you're rich. That would be prejudiced. I don't even know you.
I agree. Actually, sometimes the poor are the most spoiled and selfish.
Not that we should hate poor people either. People are as they are. Ultimately when we hate someone we fail to see in ourselves what we see in others.
It sounds like you need to investigate this idea that people hate you because you're rich. Is it absolutely true? How is the opposite true?
Try to see how these statements are true:
People don't hate you because you're rich (they like you).
You hate others because they are rich.
You hate others because they are poor.
You hate yourself because you are rich.
There's a bit of truth in each statement. Try to find it and balance out your perspective.

yea ur right, being rich shouldnt be looked down on cause you cant help being born lucky or well off.
I think people (poor/low income) people look down at rich people because the media portray them as spoiled, selfish, and too cocky. BUT i bet if they could be millionaires, they would do it in a second. its just another double stander

There is nothing wrong with being rich...It's just When you go around posting things like asking if your spoiled or selfish. It makes people think your just showing off your wealth, and then they think your spoiled and selfish.

There's nothing wrong with being rich only upstart people annoy me. I don't like people always alluding to their money at every given opportunity. We call them "sonradan görme" you know. Of course I am not refering to you because I don't know who you are.

There is nothing wrong with having an overactive imagination. Dream that you are rich and are smart. That is the least you can do my little girl.

Generally speaking, one's financial status here on YATT hasn't even crossed anyone's mind because online we can pretend to be rich as Athena Onassis or as poor as the average hand-to-mouth blue collar worker. The only reason why people like or dislike others are through their answers, because it speaks volumes about one's personality.
Thank you for informing us about your financial status though, one thing though, never volunteer any info on the internet. It really is very easy to trace where a person is at. Who knows what kind of psycho lands on your doorstep? It doesn't pay to flaunt it nowadays, unless you fancy having an M-16 in your bedroom, a gun in every floor and a 9MM pistol plus an extra magazine (just in case you shoot it out with the baddies.)that goes through your expensive handbags like they were cheap imitations, just as I do, go ahead and brag a little! ^_^
