I have this weekend for my dog, who is having health problems. It just got me to thinking, anyone else out there do this?

Yes. God cares about them too, and he cares even more about us and the things that are important to us - including our pets. :) I hope your dog gets better soon.

Why is it that Christians beleive that you are the only ones who pray?
Every religion has a form of prayer. You guys didnt corner the market on it.
I have been known to ask the Goddesses help in healing an injured pet myself. We call them devotions but they are prayers all the same.
A rose by any other name smells just as sweet.

Yes I do. Your pet is a part of your family. Your family is in a convenant with God and faith in Him to provide for you and your family. I prayed over my pet when he was sick from a flea dip I gave him. While washing him and praying over him, the vet was amazed the next day of no further symptons or complications. Your pet is a gift from God. Praying over him is the same as praying over another family memeber.

Yes, and God really does care about our pets!
I have prayed for a few pets that were healed and
one that died, but God actually let me know that
that was going to happen! It was a comfort.
I prayed for my cat today, he drank some water
from a houseplant and it made him a little bit sick.
I think he will be alright, though. I was just concerned
about him.

Of course I do! You can pray about ANYTHING! That means your pets, your computer, your anything. it doesn't have to be just people.
I pray for my pets all the time. ^^)

Well I have and I don't see anything wrong with it. We love and care for our pets and this is a great expression of this fact.

Yes I do on a daily and nightly basis. both my dogs also have a guardian angel for dogs tag on their collars
