It really depends on your setup. HDMI combines Audio and Video, DVI is video only, and Component has 3 cables for video, and 2 for audio. All three can correctly utilize and display HD signal, and not one is better or worse than another. HDMI and DVI are both digital, while Component is Analog, but since the cable runs from your source ( cable box, DVD player ) to your TV are so short, There shouldn't be any loss over the component cable.

Bottom line: Try all three, see what looks better for you. Every setup is different, but at the end of the day, there's no real quality difference.

Hi.Which is capable of producing a better image-the latest digital interconnects,or analogue ,DVI and HDMI,or Component Video ? The simple truth is that there is no straightforward answer.Digital does not always imply better image quality in the case of a video connection.

It is not possible to predict whether DVI and HDMI cables will perform better than an analogue video connection;there are significant differences in the way Digital and Analogue signals are handled that are heavily dependent upon the characteristics of the DVD Player and the Display rather than on the type of video connection in use. So you should try all of them to see if one is better than the others for your system.

HDMI and DVI are the same quality as picture goes. HDMI carries audio through it, so theres a plus. If your tv doesn't support hdmi or dvi cables then go component; they are the next best thing, because hdmi/dvi are digital, component is analog.

you should use hdmi because it has full hd capabilities and it's just one cable that has both video and audio. It's best cable right now.
