Accordingly to New Testament decree, blaspheming the Holy Spirit is one sin which cannot be forgiven. Murder, on the other hand, can be forgiven. What does that tell you about Bible based morality?

I will tell you what it tells me. It tells me that a moral system grounded in the Bible is not the most conducive to running a harmonious society that protects the rights of individuals, because it attaches greater significance to spiritual slander than to the value of human life.

If there is one argument (actually there are many) for discarding the Bible as the axiom that guides our ethical and moral consideration, this should be it. Imagine a world where perfectly moral and charitable people are vanquished for saying something in jest, which may be construed as derogatory towards the Holy Spirit. Also imagine a world were pious murders, who dare not say anything caustic against the Holy Spirit, are allowed to get away with homicide. Is that the world you would want to live in? What does it tell you about the fragility of the Holy Spirit, that it is so feeble, that mere words could hurt it so much as to warrant the person who gives voice to the insult an eternity in perdition?

I always scoff when conservative politicians speak about the need to return to our Christian roots. Nothing could be more deleterious to our moral progress, and this admonishment to put the “Holy Spirit’s” feelings over the sanctity of life is why we should shout down anyone who dares to reprimand us on the basis of the Bible, and talk about the sanctity of life stemming from biblical precepts.

Well that's ignorant of God because murdering your fellow man is blaspheming the Holy Spirit among men.

What is the Holy Spirit, if you are forgiven for doubting the Father and the Son. Why must you never doubt the Holy Spirit? What exactly is it?

In the sense of speaking evil of God this word is found in Ps. 74:18; Isa. 52:5; Rom. 2:24; Rev. 13:1, 6; 16:9, 11, 21. It denotes also any kind of calumny, or evil-speaking, or abuse (1 Kings 21:10; Acts 13:45; 18:6, etc.). Our Lord was accused of blasphemy when he claimed to be the Son of God (Matt. 26:65; comp. Matt. 9:3; Mark 2:7). They who deny his Messiahship blaspheme Jesus (Luke 22:65; John 10:36).

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:31, 32; Mark 3:28, 29; Luke 12:10) is regarded by some as a continued and obstinate rejection of the gospel, and hence is an unpardonable sin, simply because as long as a sinner remains in unbelief he voluntarily excludes himself from pardon. Others regard the expression as designating the sin of attributing to the power of Satan those miracles which Christ performed, or generally those works which are the result of the Spirit's agency.

Murder is a forgivable sin.

Ward above said, "that one will land you in jail." I add to that comment... The other will land you in Hell.

Sin is sin. They both weigh in equally. And if you murder your fellow man, do you not already know it is wrong? So you blaspheme the Holy spirit anyway.
Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
God is still alive....only His back is turned to you because He cannot LOOK UPON EVIL.

ANY sin against my brother can be forgiven but blaspheming the Holy Spirit by not accepting Jesus as the Son of God is punishable by eternal damnation.

You be the judge.
