I agree that you don't have to believe in the God presented by the Bible/Quran/Thora or any other religions. You don't have to follow their rules, but most of these modern-aged religions have some moral or casual values. (For ex: don't hurt anyone, don't steal, don't alcoholize, etc..) They show them in different ways, but these are usable things, and we should keep them.
Everyone has a need to faith in something. Believe in a god, or in the Nature, physics, math, Universe, big Bang, evolution, Allah, God...
These things give you to believe that your life is not aimless, and you are a part of an existing concept.
Why do we have to always insult the other by it's views? Every person is different, that's why we see thing different.
I think there is such thing that TRUTH, but we will never able to understand it, because we are a part of that.
Just be a bit tolerant and try to understand your brother. Make peace and love! I hope once every kind of believer will listen to others and we will try to add our knowledge for a better world.

idk if this is a question. but i would like to comment on that. certainly, thas what i think. i wud like to ask muslims how they know that their prophet Muhammed actually had those visions. i mean u never kno. n Jesus Christ died for other Christians but then wat about all those soldiers dying for us today in the war. shudn't they be considered god. n if the Qoran says that Allah is the only god, then why fight with others. why can't they just peacefully go on with thier own lives!! so all i am saying is that all this is pointless. why shud u follow a faith that was created thousands of years ago by sum1 who for all you kno cud be a scam or soemthing. n if ur god is great, then doesn't ur god also tell u not to bicker with other people....since they are the same as you(they are all human beings!!) I believe in God but not the ones that everyone makes up necessarily. people get defensive over the bible. but it's a book written by human beings after alll. nobody knows for sure if all this was really "interpreted from God" God is in you . u don't need to perform physical things to get closer to him, b/c the relationship is deeper than that. just b/c u sin doens't mean u go to hell. god has his ways.

God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. God was, is, will be everywhere, God was never Created and will never die / be destroyed. God is beyond Life and Death. All religions of world teach human way to get close to God. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. Ask God for help and forgive, God will help and forgive you. Pray; Worship and Thank God for everything. Remember wherever there is Happiness in Life, there will be Sorrow. To get Happiness, you must master Sorrow. For Success in Life; Believe in Self and God, Learn from Past, Concentrate in Present, Plan for Future. Have control on, be the master of, not the slave of your body, senses, and mind. Purpose of this Life is to Gain and Share utmost Knowledge and Experience to differentiate and choose Right, Good, God against Wrong, Bad, Devil. Set your Desire level perfect or OK to be brave, no low to be coward, no high to be cruel. You have rights of Survival, Self Defence, and Freedom.

I fail to work out how the age of the earth disproves God in any way =) The Bible would not say the earth is only some thousand years old. Time may be meaningless to God, suitable? And we people invented the equipment of time, besides. We created what an hour potential, what an afternoon potential, what a year potential. no longer God. you may no longer extremely anticipate a god to be certain by employing human rules, if he created the universe.

Well, hopefully God has more sense then to give just one person the message. Obviously most people will think you've lost it, no offense. You raise a good point though.
However, I'm going to go with, you're just asking this because you know it's thought-provoking, or, you had a dream last night that you thought was cool and wanted to make people use their brains to think about it.

I'll stick to no god and throw myself on the mercy of them all, should they exist. I call it the ultimate pascal's wager. Sort-of like splitting queens in black jack.

How do I know you are pulling my leg?
You are not the one referred to at Matthew 24:45.
That is the channel God is using.
....and its not even one individual.
